𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗠 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 | 𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 𝟮

The beneficiaries of the Walang Gutom Program from Barangay Busay, Barangay Budlaan, Barangay Adlaon, and Barangay Lusaran actively participated in the 𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 (𝗡𝗘𝗦) 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 𝟮 facilitated by the 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 (𝗗𝗪𝗦𝗗) - 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗠 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠.

This activity was attended by the Local Government Unit of Barangay Busay, Cebu City, headed by our Barangay Captain, Hon. Yody Sanchez, together with the Barangay Councilors, GAD Focal Person, and VAW Desk Officer, demonstrating their commitment to promoting nutrition awareness, family well-being, and food security within the community.

Through this session, participants gained valuable knowledge on proper nutrition, health eating habits, and practical ways to improve the overall health and welfare of their families.

Together, we strive for a healthier, stronger, and hunger-free community.

𝟭𝟬𝟰 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗, 𝟰𝟭 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗬

Cebu City, June 2, 2026 – The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries (DVMF), in partnership with the Municipal Agriculture and Resources Office (MARO), successfully conducted a Mass Anti-Rabies Vaccination and Pet Registration activity in Barangay Busay, benefiting hundreds of pet owners and their animals.

A total of 104 dogs and cats received free anti-rabies vaccination, helping strengthen the community's efforts in preventing rabies and promoting responsible pet ownership. The activity also recorded 41 new pet registrations, contributing to the city's animal health database and monitoring system.
Overall, 145 animals were served through the various veterinary services provided during the outreach activity.

The initiative reflects the continued commitment of DVMF and MARO in safeguarding public health, protecting animal welfare, and bringing essential veterinary services closer to communities.

This activity aims to ensure that pets within the barangay are properly registered and protected against rabies, while promoting responsible pet ownership and safeguarding public health. For Anti-Rabies Vaccination, this is conducted through a 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗚𝗡. Kindly coordinate with Hon. Elsa D. Galacio, Chairman, Comm. on Health and the Barangay Vaccinators, as they are responsible for identifying and organizing the areas to be covered.

This activity aims to promote responsible pet ownership, control the population of stray and unwanted animals, improve animal welfare, and help prevent spread of rabies and other animal-related health concerns within the barangay.
