In support of the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐓) 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨-𝐏𝐎𝐏 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which gathered more than 70 participants from across the 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒐𝒉𝒐𝒍, the Commission on Population and Development Region VII personnel demonstrated their unwavering commitment to service. Beyond logistical support, the team also captured meaningful 𝑷𝑶𝑽 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 that reflected their dedication, teamwork, and passion for public service—proving that service truly knows no distance.

Through every effort, big or small, CPD Region VII continues to champion collaboration and excellence in advancing advocacy and youth engagement.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | The 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮-𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 has emerged as the champion of the 2026 Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) – Regional Histo-Pop Quiz Competition, held in Dalaguete, Cebu.🏆

Kudos to the division supervisors, teachers, and coaches who helped hone our champion.👏

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | The 2026 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒇 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 (𝑹𝑭𝑶𝑻) 𝑯𝑰𝑺𝑻𝑶-𝑷𝑶𝑷 𝑸𝑼𝑰𝒁 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 is currently underway at the RHU Building, 2nd Floor, Dalaguete, Cebu, gathering more than 70 participants from across Cebu and Bohol provinces.

A total of 11 schools are competing in the Regional POPQUIZ, accompanied by their respective teachers and coaches. Representatives from DepEd Tayo Region VII and the Commission on Population and Development Region VII also joined the event.

The competition formally opened with introductory messages, followed by the opening ceremony and acknowledgement of participants.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨𝐥 of the Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVHD), DMO IV; 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐍. 𝐑𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐬, Regional Director of CPD; and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐁. 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠, Education Program Supervisor for Araling Panlipunan of DepEd Region VII.

The activity aims to promote historical awareness and population-related knowledge among students through an engaging and competitive platform.

The Komisyon sa Populasyon at Pagpapaunlad - Negros Island Region formally held its Office Blessing and Inauguration on March 11, 2026, marking an important milestone in strengthening population and development initiatives in the region.

The office blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Isabelo A. Carloman Jr. at the CPD NIR Office in Bacolod City, followed by the inauguration program at Nature’s Village Resort. The event gathered representatives from national government agencies, LGUs, academic institutions, and civil society organizations, highlighting strong multi-sectoral support.

This milestone represents a great leap forward following the establishment of the Negros Island Region as a separate region from Central Visayas (Region VII), further strengthening regional coordination and development efforts.

The inauguration signals a new chapter in strengthening regional coordination and improving the quality of life of Negrenses and Siquijodnons.🩷🩵💜
