World Teachers’ Day 2026: Misamis Occidental Honors Educators; Mayor Ging Oaminal-Delos Santos Grants ₱5,000 Each to Clarin Teachers

BAYFRONT ARENA — The Bayfront Arena came alive with joy, gratitude, and festive spirit as thousands of educators from across Misamis Occidental gathered for the grand celebration of World Teachers’ Day 2026.

Led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, the event became a heartfelt tribute to the province’s dedicated teachers. Governor Oaminal personally honored the educators with exciting raffle prizes and special Teachers’ Day treats, expressing deep appreciation for their tireless service and vital role in shaping the future of every Misamisnon.

In a touching turn of events, the teachers surprised the Governor in return — presenting him with an early birthday celebration filled with vibrant performances, warm messages, and sincere tributes. It was more than a ceremony; it was a meaningful exchange of gratitude, honoring the heroism of Misamis Occidental’s educators while recognizing Governor Oaminal’s unwavering commitment to supporting the teaching profession.

Adding to the day’s blessings, Municipal Mayor Riza “Ging” Oaminal-Delos Santos of Clarin extended generous support to her town’s educators. Through special raffle draws, seven (7) teachers from the Municipality of Clarin each received ₱5,000, bringing smiles and delight to the deserving recipients.

Mayor Ging emphasized that the recognition is but a small token of thanks for the dedication, patience, and sacrifices of every teacher in Clarin and across the province. She affirmed her continued partnership with the provincial government to ensure that educators are valued, supported, and empowered.

The celebration concluded with renewed hope and unity — a shared promise that together, the provincial and local governments will continue to stand beside the teachers who stand at the heart of Misamis Occidental’s progress.

PCOL Gilbert M. Rollen Officially Assumes Post as MisOcc PPO Acting Provincial Director; Stronger PNP–LGU Partnership Foreseen

Formal turnover and assumption rites were held at Camp Major Lucas O. Naranjo in Oroquieta City, installing PCOL Gilbert M. Rollen as Acting Provincial Director of the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office (MisOcc PPO).

The ceremony was attended by PNP Regional Office X officials, provincial leaders, local chief executives, uniformed personnel, and police chiefs across the province — including Governor Henry S. Oaminal, 2nd District Congressman Ando Oaminal, and LGU Clarin Municipal Mayor Riza "Ging" Oaminal Delos-Santos, whose presence underscored the solid partnership between the police force and the local government unit.

Both the Governor and Congressman pledged full backing for PCOL Rollen’s leadership and for the PNP’s programs and operations in the province. In turn, PCOL Rollen committed to sustaining peace and security efforts for all Misamisnon, while reinforcing discipline and professionalism within the police ranks. The event also signals closer coordination between the MisOcc PPO, the provincial government, and LGUs — including the Municipality of Clarin — to further strengthen peace, order, and public safety throughout Misamis Occidental.

CLARIN, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL — Malampusong gipahigayon ang opisyal nga Orientation on Drug-Free Workplace Policy didto sa Munisipyo sa Clarin, nahimutang sa Pob. 1 atong Septembre 23, 2026 , niining lungsod. Ang maong kalihokan gitambongan sa mga opisyales, kawani, ug mga representante sa nagkalain-laing buhatan sa Lokal nga Panggamhanan, isip bahin sa padayong pagsiguro sa limpyo, luwas, ug matarong nga palibot sa pagtrabaho alang sa tanan.

CLARIN RANKS 4TH AMONG MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL MUNICIPALITIES IN 2025 INCOME SOURCES

CLARIN, Misamis Occidental — The Municipality of Clarin has secured the 4th spot among all 14 municipalities in Misamis Occidental in terms of Total Sources of Income for Calendar Year 2025, as recorded in the Statement of Receipts and Expenditures (SRE) released by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF).
Clarin posted a total income of ₱40.75 million, placing it ahead of 10 other municipalities in the province and behind only the top three: Plaridel (₱59.33M), Jimenez (₱56.34M), and Calamba (₱47.05M).

Mayor Riza "Ging" Oaminal Delos-Santos of Clarin lauded the ranking as a testament to sound fiscal management and the collective effort of all departments, local enterprises, and residents.

The data was compiled from the official BLGF SRE reports, which serve as the primary reference for local fiscal performance across the country.
