Carrying the theme "Student Journalism in the AI Era: Upholding Truth and Public Trust," this year's summit highlights the growing importance for ethical reporting, media accountability, and critical thinking amid rapid technological advancements.

In his welcome address, Dr. Pedro Raymunde, Jr., Director of the Academic Services Division, challenged the delegates to look beyond content creation and embrace their duty as journalists.

"As student journalists, you are not mere writers or content creators. You are emerging truth-seekers who help your fellow students understand issues, question assumptions, and participate meaningfully in public discourse," Dr. Raymunde emphasized.

As of this morning, journalists have already wrapped up the writing competitionsโ€”news writing, feature writing, and editorial writing.

In a world that constantly tells you to do more, be better, and become more, it is easy to forget that you are already worthy as you are. You may look at others and feel like you are falling behind, question your abilities, or wonder if you are doing enough

"Ano bang meron sa kanila na wala sa'kin?"

"Bakit parang may kulang?"

Sometimes, we become so focused on what others have that we forget to value what we carry within ourselves. We compare our strengths to theirs, our progress to theirs, and lives to the parts of their stories we get to see. Without realizing it, we begin to believe that we need to be more like someone else to be worthy of the same happiness, love, and opportunities.

But the truth is...

You do not have to become someone else to be enough.

You do not have to be someone else to be worthy of the life you want. You simply have to give yourself the chance to grow into it while appreciating the person you already are.

You are enough, not because you have everything figured out, but because your worth was never something you had to earn.
