π« NO TO MINING IN PAN DE AZUCAR ISLAND! πΏπ
Pan de Azucar Island is more than a mining area. It is our home, our source of livelihood, and a natural heritage that we must protect for future generations.
The proposed Pan de Azucar Pyrite Project covers areas including Tambaliza, Talo-toan, and Macatunao in Concepcion, Iloilo.
At present, there are ongoing processes related to the MPSA renewal and exploration activities. These processes must be transparent, accountable, and open to meaningful public consultation.
β WHAT SHOULD THE COMMUNITY KNOW?
π What is the current status of the MPSA renewal?
π What are the plans for further exploration and possible mining?
π What documents have been submitted to MGB and DENR?
π Are all environmental requirements and permits in place?
π Have proper and transparent consultations with affected communities been conducted?
π What will be the impact on our water, forests, farms, marine resources, livelihoods, and communities?
β οΈ ARE THERE POSSIBLE PLANS OR NEGOTIATIONS THAT THE PUBLIC DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT?
It is possible that companies or government agencies may have internal discussions, preparations, or negotiations that are not immediately made public. However, there is currently no verified evidence that a secret or illegal transaction has taken place.
That is exactly why transparency and public participation are important.
π« NO TO MINING IN PAN DE AZUCAR!
We are not against responsible development. We are against activities that could permanently damage our environment, livelihoods, and the future of our communities.
π³ Protect our land.
π Protect our seas.
π Protect our livelihood.
π§ Protect our water.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Protect our future generations.
β PAN DE AZUCAR IS OUR HOME β NOT JUST A MINING SITE.
