“Nothing is over until it is over,” ani Iqbal.

PH AMONG STATES WHO WALKED OUT OF NETANYAHU’S SPEECH

Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Analyn Ratonel tells Bilyonaryo that the Philippines joined delegates who walked out of the United Nations General Assembly on September 24 when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the floor.

“The Philippines joined the walk out, in global solidarity for peace in the Middle East and the call for all parties to desist from unilateral actions that erode the conditions of peace and undermine the visibility of a future Palestine state,” says Ratonel.

As Manila continues to support the two-state solution, Ratonel says the Philippines is “concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and notes with alarm Israel’s efforts to advance the E1 settlement plan, and the continued rise of settler violence in the West Bank.” | via Ivy Reyes, Bilyonaryo News
