The DILG Aleosan Field Office conducted a surprise visit to the far-flung barangays of the Municipality of Aleosan, specifically: Barangays Cawilihan, Pentil, Malapang, Tomado, and Palacat.

The surprise monitoring was also conducted to assess the day-to-day operations of the barangays.

During the visit, the barangays were reminded to comply with other programs, including BaRCO, BARAKADA, HAPAG, and Kalinisan.

October 27, 2026 — The DILG Aleosan conducted a surprise periodic monitoring visit to assess the compliance of several component barangays of the Municipality of Aleosan with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Full Disclosure Policy (BFDP and SKFDP).

The Full Disclosure Policy is a transparency and accountability mandate issued by the DILG, requiring barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials to publicly post vital financial, budgetary, and governance documents in conspicuous locations—such as the barangay hall or community bulletin boards—so that residents may freely view them.

Following the inspection, the DILG provided feedback to each barangay, guiding them to comply with the standard requirements outlined in the DILG Memorandum Circular.

Beyond compliance checking, the site inspection also served as a consultative meeting, giving each barangay the opportunity to raise other issues and concerns for discussion with the DILG.

Today, DILG Aleosan attended the Municipal Nutrition Committee and HIV-AIDS Council Meeting at the Aleosan Municipal Function Hall.

The meeting focused on local health and wellness priorities, including:

1. Operation Timbang Plus (OPT): Planning the rollout to help monitor and address child malnutrition.

2. Annual Nutrition Budget: Reviewing and allocating the yearly budget for nutrition programs.

3. Feeding Program: Sharing updates, achievements, and current issues/concerns.

A Philippine tarsier was released to its natural habitat by CENRO Midsayap in Barangay Tomado, Aleosan, Cotabato.

The animal was found by a farmer on his property, and he reported the sighting to authorities.

In a gesture of respect and continued partnership, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons from different barangays in Aleosan conducted a courtesy call to the MLGOO of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aleosan Field Office.

The activity served as an opportunity for the SK leaders to express their commitment to youth development, strengthen coordination with the local government unit, and ensure that their programs align with the guidance of the DILG field office.

Sa ilalim ng Local Government Code of 1991, may kanya-kanyang kapangyarihan at tungkulin ang mga lalawigan, lungsod, munisipalidad, at barangay upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng kanilang mga nasasakupan.

• Paghahatid ng mga pangunahing serbisyo at pasilidad sa mga mamamayan
• Pagpapatupad ng mga lokal na ordinansa at programa
• Pagsusulong ng kalusugan, edukasyon, at iba pang serbisyong panlipunan
• Pagtataguyod ng kapakanan at kaunlaran ng mga komunidad

Mahalagang maunawaan ang mga kapangyarihan at tungkulin ng bawat LGU upang malaman ng mga mamamayan kung anong serbisyo ang maaari nilang asahan at kung saan sila maaaring lumapit para sa kanilang mga pangangailangan.
