WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S PAOAY The excitement builds as the rehabilitation of the Paoay Golf Course was formally announced. Ilocos Norte Governor Cecille Araneta-Marcos and TIEZA COO Dr. Mark Lapid are shown holding a flagstick bearing the number one on site in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. The photo-op also included the mayor of Paoay Mayor Shiella Galano, Barangay Suba Barangay Captain Franklin Saymo, Batac Mayor Markee R. Chua, former Paoay Mayor Jessie Galano, TIEZA Golf Consultant Tito Mojado, Christian Santiago of BGC Philbuilder, Inc. The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, (TIEZA) will spearhead the project along with the local government. Under the plan, TIEZA will build nine holes from the original 18-hole layout designed by Gary Player, the Maharlika Hall structure will be renovated to serve as the clubhouse. To be added to the long-idled facility are a driving range and mini golf facility.
