𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗬𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗥𝗚𝗬. 𝗔𝗚𝗗𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗡!

The Cuartero PCF headed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮, with PhilHealth Roxas conducted a YAKAP Caravan in Brgy. Agdahon, Cuartero Capiz.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮 and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘇 conducted medical consultation, with free medicines.

𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿, Administrative Assistant I of PhilHealth Roxas, provided an overview of the PhilHealth YAKAP and GAMOT Programs. Assistance was also provided to address PhilHealth-related concerns.

𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟-𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟

The Cuartero Primary Care Facility headed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦. 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮, successfully conducted the launching of the School-Based Immunization (SBI) Program at Lunayan Elementary School.

The program includes MR-Td vaccination for Grade 1 learners and HPV vaccination for Grade 4 and Grade 5 learners, as part of the continuing efforts to protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases, promote a healthier school community, and providing essential protection for school children through vaccination.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘇, DOH Deployed Physician provided an overview of SBI and its importance.

The activity highlighted the ceremonial vaccination of MR—Td Vaccine by Dr. Conrad John Coroz, and Ms. Deserie Balad-on, HPV Vacinne by Ms. Analou Duran.

𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 (𝗕𝗙𝟭𝗞𝗗) 𝗥𝗘-𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Barangay First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) Re-orientation for Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and Cuartero Primary Care Facility (PCF) Personnel was conducted by 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 - 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.

The activity aimed to refresh and strengthen the knowledge and understanding of BNS, BHWs, and PCF staff on the implementation of the BF1KD program, emphasizing the importance of the first 1,000 days of life in ensuring optimal maternal, infant, and young child health and nutrition.

Through this initiative, participants were further equipped to provide effective health and nutrition services and support to pregnant women, mothers, infants, and young children in their respective barangays.

The World Health Organization (𝗪𝗛𝗢) NIP Consultant, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗢𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗼, together with the Department of Health – Western Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH WV CHD) Family Health Nutrition – National Immunization Program (FHN-NIP) Team, composed of 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, conducted Supportive Supervision, Monitoring, and Mentoring for the National Immunization Program (NIP) in the Municipality of Cuartero.

On behalf of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦. 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮, the team was warmly received and assisted by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗤. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘇, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱-𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗲 - DOH Pharmacist, and the Department of Health - Human Resources for Health (DOH HRH) personnel assigned in Cuartero.

Following the activity, a feedback session was conducted with 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗘. 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼, Municipal Mayor of Cuartero, to discuss key observations and recommendations for strengthening the implementation of the National Immunization Program.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the WHO, DOH, and the Municipality of Cuartero to strengthen the immunization services, and ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to the community.

Magkaiba ba ang HPV at cervical cancer? Magkaiba rin ba ang bakuna laban sa mga ito?

✅ Oo. Magkaiba ang HPV at cervical cancer.

✅ Ang HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) ay isang virus na maaaring magdulot ng kanser sa kuwelyo ng matris o cervical cancer.

✅ Ang HPV vaccine ay nagbibigay ng proteksyon laban sa mga uri ng HPV na pangunahing sanhi ng cervical cancer, kaya nakatutulong ito sa pag-iwas sa infection at sa mga kanser na dulot nito.
