Pursuant to ๐‚๐’๐‚ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ (effective January 1, 2026), Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital adopts the Wellness Leave Policy for its eligible personnel!

Here is what CSGH employees need to know about this new leave privilege:

โ€ข Up to 5 Days Annual Wellness Leave: Separate and exclusive from your 15 days Vacation Leave, 15 days Sick Leave, and 3 days Special Leave.
โ€ข Flexible Usage: Take up to 3 consecutive days at a time, or spread them out across non-consecutive days throughout the year.
โ€ข Purpose: Dedicated time for mental health care, physical wellness activities, or a general break from work to recharge.
โ€ข Filing Timeline: File your application at least 5 days in advance through regular office leave procedures (except in emergency cases, which must be filed immediately upon return).
โ€ข Confidential & Safe: Any mental health-related information submitted remains strictly confidential under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
โ€ข Use It or Lose It: Wellness Leave is non-cumulative, non-commutable to cash, and forfeited if not used within the calendar year.

The Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) recently conducted an Orientation on Inclusive Procurement under the Sagip Saka Act, themed โ€œSAKAlusugan: Isang Paglilinaw sa Sagip Saka at Pangangalagang Pang-ospital.โ€ The activity aimed to help local farmers and fisherfolk understand R.A. 11321 (Sagip Saka Act) and guide CSGH personnel on the proper process of directly purchasing agricultural and fishery products from qualified local producers.

The activity was attended by CSGH BAC and TWG members, Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Leonilo Sarmiento, representatives from the Culion Municipal Agriculture Office and barangays, farmers, and fisherfolk. Atty. Shann Jevi Tanaka-Montefrio, a government procurement speaker involved in developing the guidelines for R.A. No. 12009 (New Government Procurement Act), served as resource speaker.

The discussions covered eligible products, procurement procedures, and documentary requirements, followed by an open forum to address concerns and discuss local application.

The activity highlighted how Sagip Saka can provide farmers and fisherfolk with a stable government market for their products while supporting local livelihood and income. For CSGH, it provides an opportunity to source fresh, locally produced food while strengthening community partnerships and promoting inclusive and responsive government procurement.

CSGH extends its appreciation to Atty. Shann Jevi Tanaka-Montefrio, the GPPB-TSO, and all participants for their valuable time and active participation for the success of the activity.

Through initiatives like this, CSGH continues to promote quality public service while supporting the development of local communities.
