WHAT IS SHEAR LINE? ๐ง๏ธ
Following Tropical Storm Basyang, the prevailing weather system over Central Visayas is now a shear line, PAGASA reported.
A shear line occurs when the cool, dry northeast monsoon (amihan) meets the warm, moist air from the Pacific, resulting in cloudy skies, scattered to continuous rains, and occasional thunderstorms.
Residents, especially those in flood-prone and mountainous areas, are urged to stay vigilant for possible flash floods and landslides and to keep monitoring official weather advisories.
