𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖: 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐃𝐀𝐏𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

The Port Planning and Design Department (PPDD) from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Head Office is in discussion with LGU Dapa officials at the Mayor’s Conference Hall, New Municipal Hall, to discuss the planned upgrade of the Port of Dapa.

The ongoing discussion includes the proposed port design, development plans, and other technical considerations related to the improvement of the port facility.

Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas, together with Vice Mayor Gerry M. Abejo and concerned LGU department heads, is attending the meeting as discussions on the proposed port upgrade continue.

🚒 𝐃𝐀𝐏𝐀 𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋

The newly installed overhead tank beside the Dapa Public Market is now operational and ready to support the firefighting operations of our BFP Dapa Fire Station.

With the new water source, fire trucks can now be filled in approximately 2 minutes, much faster than the usual 10 minutes when using fire hydrants.

Dapa Fire Station personnel, headed by SFO4 Marloun C. Bolonia, conducted an actual filling of the fire truck using the overhead tank, as shown in the video.

This initiative was made possible through the support of Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas and Vice Mayor Gerry M. Abejo, as part of the administration’s continuing efforts to improve fire response and emergency preparedness in our municipality.

Newly appointed District Head of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) – Siargao District Office, Engr. Salal Macabando, paid a courtesy call to Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas this morning at the Mayor’s Office, New Municipal Hall.

The visit served as an official introduction of the new District Head and reaffirmed the strong partnership between the LGU of Dapa and the Land Transportation Office in promoting safe, orderly, and efficient land transportation services in the community.

The Local Government Unit of Dapa held its first Monday flag raising ceremony for the month of October, attended by local government officials led by Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas and Vice Mayor Gerry M. Abejo, together with department heads and employees in government service.

Following the ceremony, Mayor Abeth Matugas and Vice-Mayor Gerry Abejo expressed their appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the recently concluded State of the Municipality Address (SOMA).

They likewise thanked the individuals, offices, organizations, and partners whose support and contributions helped make the event a success.

As we begin another week of public service, may we continue to work with renewed dedication and a shared commitment to serve the people of Dapa with integrity, compassion, and purpose. ✨🏛️
