With gratitude and faith, the Municipality of Dapa conducted the blessing of its newly acquired heavy equipment this afternoon.
The blessing ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Denish I. Ilogon, DCS, and was attended by Municipal Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas, Vice Mayor Gerry M. Abejo, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and the LGU Dapa Family.
The newly acquired equipment includes three (3) dump trucks, one (1) wheel dozer, one (1) excavator, and one (1) mini excavator. These valuable additions will strengthen the Municipality's capacity to effectively implement its Solid Waste Management Program, enhance disaster preparedness and response operations, and support various engineering infrastructure projects and maintenance activities.
This investment reflects the local government's continuing commitment to promoting progress, enhancing public service, and improving the quality of life of every DapanON.

The activity was witnessed by Mrs. Nelly G. Casaรฑa and Mr. Antonio J. Adapon.

The Municipality of Dapa proudly joined the successful conduct of the Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise (MIAEX) 2026-01 spearheaded by the Joint Task Force Sinaya, held at the Jubang International Seaport, Dapa, Siargao Island.
The activity brought together various maritime and government agencies in a unified effort to strengthen inter-agency coordination, enhance maritime security capabilities, and promote preparedness in addressing evolving challenges within the Eastern Mindanao seaboard. Participating agencies included JTF Sinaya, Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao, PNP Regional Maritime Unit 13, BFAR XIII, Department of Agriculture, MARINA, the Local Government Unit of Dapa, and reservist groups from the 72nd Naval Group Reserve and 1506th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion.
Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas was honored with a Plaque of Appreciation in recognition of the invaluable support extended to the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao during the conduct of Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise (MIAEX) 2026-01. The award was presented during the Closing Ceremony held at the Welcome Center Building, International Seaport, Jubang, Dapa, and was received in behalf of the Mayor by Municipal Administrator Felicitas M. Gonzales together with Executive Secretary Shirley A. Viernes.
Likewise, the Municipal Agriculture Office and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Dapa also received Plaques of Appreciation for their support and participation in the successful implementation of the activity.
The Municipality of Dapa remains committed in supporting initiatives that strengthen maritime security, inter-agency cooperation, disaster preparedness, and national awareness for the safety and welfare of the community.
