BUTUAN CITY – The Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, Major General Ronald Jess S. Alcudia, conducted an official visit to the Headquarters of the 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG) on March 24, 2026, a significant visit that reaffirmed the Command’s steadfast commitment to strengthening the Reserve Force in Caraga region.

The visit featured the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a training ground facility, a key infrastructure project envisioned to provide more modern and conducive training environment for citizen soldiers and cadets.

A highlight of the activity was the awarding ceremony, where outstanding personnel and deserving cadets of 15RCDG were recognized for their exemplary performance, and invaluable contributions to the reserve force development in the region. Following this, the donning and pinning of ranks to newly promoted personnel was conducted, symbolizing not only their well-earned advancement in rank, but also the greater responsibility and trust bestowed upon them.

The Commander’s visit also provided an opportunity to engage with officers, enlisted personnel, and cadets during the open forum, boosting morale and reinforcing the significant role of reservists as an integral component of national defense.

This meaningful occasion continued the pursuit of excellence, unity, and service, driving the 15RCDG toward becoming a more capable, responsive, and mobilization-ready force in support of the Philippine Army’s mission.

LOOK | MEDICAL MISSION

In celebration of the 1st Anniversary of 1506th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, a successful Medical Mission was conducted in the Municipality of San Benito through the collaborative efforts of Siargao Island Medical Center, Caraga Regional Hospital, Central Surigao City Rotary Club, Local Government Unit of San Benito, and Rural Health Unit of San Benito. The activity was led by 1503 CDC Director LTCOL FERDINAND L MOPAL (INF) PA, together with MAJ RAMON M GOTINGA PA (RES), MAJ JULIUS A ELLEZO (INF) PA, and the dedicated Enlisted Personnel of 1506 RRIBn, who worked hand in hand to deliver essential medical services to the community.

This meaningful initiative highlights the battalion’s unwavering commitment to service beyond military duties, strengthening partnerships and fostering unity among stakeholders. Through collective effort, leadership, and compassion, 1506 RRIBn continues to bring quality healthcare services closer to the people and uphold its mission of service, unity, and nation-building.

In the aftermath of 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴, an 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝘂𝗽 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 was successfully conducted today, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, along the beachfront of 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗸𝘂, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮, in response to the significant volume of debris washed ashore from nearby areas. 🧹

The activity was spearheaded, upon the request of our 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗬. 𝗦𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮, by the 𝟭𝟱𝟬𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟭𝟱𝟬𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗻) Siargao-based Army Reservists headed by 𝗠𝗮𝗷. The accumulation of debris adversely affected the cleanliness and overall condition of the beachfront, posing challenges to 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and the 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Through collective action and bayanihan spirit, the clean-up drive aimed to promptly restore the area and prevent further environmental and economic impact. ♻️

The 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 extends its 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to all participating agencies, organizations, and volunteers for their swift response, unity, and unwavering commitment to environmental protection and community welfare. 🙏

Personnel led by MAJ RAMON M GOTINGA PA (RES) 1506th RRIBn Battalion Commander, together with MAJ JULIUS ELLEZO (INF) PA, Deputy Director, 1503rd Community Defense Center, in coordination with the General Luna MDRRMO, 30th Infantry Battalion Delta CAA Company, and the Bureau of Fire Protection, provided manpower assistance to the MSWD General Luna in support of the local government’s humanitarian initiatives.

The joint effort involved the hauling of an estimated 1,200 sacks of rice for distribution under the Mayor’s program, Serbisyong Tama – Rice Distribution, aimed at assisting beneficiaries in the Municipality of General Luna. The activity was successfully completed at approximately 1745H on the same day, demonstrating strong inter-agency cooperation, unity, and commitment to public service in support of community welfare.

Barangay Osmeña, Dapa, Siargao, Surigao Del Norte – On 18 January 2026 at exactly 9:00 am, the organic personnel of 1503 Community Defense Center Led by 𝐌𝐀𝐉 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐔𝐒 𝐀 𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐙𝐎 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀, together the officer and enlisted personnel of the Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion under the leadership of 𝐌𝐀𝐉 𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐌 𝐆𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒), successfully conduct of an Outreach Program to residents of Sitio Bingag, Brgy Osmena, Dapa, SDN.

The activity took place at Headquarters 1503CDC extension Office, Brgy Osmeña, Dapa, SDN.

The activity formalized through the initiative of MAJ RAMON M GOTINGA PA (RES), highlighting the units continued commitment to community service and nation building.

During the outreach program, the team extended assistance to the residents through the distribution of complete hygiene kit and immediately followed by food feeding. The event aimed to strengthen the bond between the military and the community reflecting the RESCOM mission of fostering solidarity, mutual support and volunteerism.

Residents of Sitio Bingag, Brgy Osmeña expressed they’re for the assistance nothing that such initiatives greatly contribute to the improving community welfare and morale.

The activity concluded at about 12:00 noon on the same day, marking another successful community engagement of 1503rd CDC and 1506th RRIBn in line with Philippine Army’s thrust of serving the and securing the land.
