SELINOG IS BADMINTON WARRIORS: PLAYING WITH PRIDE, FINISHING WITH PURPOSE 🏸❤️

The Selinog Integrated School Badminton Team took to the court at the DACAA Meet, proudly representing the Baylimango Schools District and carrying with them the support of their school and community.

Representing the Elementary Division were Coach Fatima B. Renacia and athlete John Gabriel P. Bucol.

In the Secondary Division, Coach Bien Gracel M. Vitualla stood alongside athletes John Razel P. Bucol, Danny B. Sumalpong, and Angelyn D. Mendez.

The team may not have secured a podium finish this time, but their journey tells a different kind of winning story. They competed, persevered, learned, and gave their best until the final point. 🏸💪🏻

From the school meet to the district level and eventually to the division stage, every step was an achievement. For our island learners, being able to reach this level is already a testament to their dedication and to the people who continue to believe in them.

To our athletes and coaches, thank you for representing Selinog IS with courage and sportsmanship. To the parents, guardians, and everyone who supported the team, daghang salamat. ❤️

Not every victory comes with a medal. Some victories are found in the courage to step onto the court, compete with heart, and walk away stronger than before.

Selinog IS is proud of you! 🏸❤️
Padayon, Badminton Team! Your next point is another opportunity to grow. 💪🏻

SELINOG IS SWIMMERS TAKE THE PLUNGE AT DACAA 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🏆

The Selinog Integrated School Swimming Team proudly carried the banner of the Baylimango Schools District at the DACAA Meet, displaying determination, discipline, and competitive spirit in every race.

Guided by their dedicated Coaches, Sir Reynaldo and Sir Ejae, and Assistant Coaches, Ma’am January Ann and Sir Myreec, the young swimmers faced each challenge with focus and confidence, gaining valuable experience along the way.

Beyond the clock and the medals, every stroke and finish represented an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow as young athletes. For our island learners, reaching the competition is already part of a meaningful journey—made possible through teamwork and community support.

A heartfelt daghang salamat to our chaperones, kitchen and support teams, parents, guardians, and everyone who stood behind our athletes throughout the meet. Your support made this experience more meaningful for our learners. ❤️

The medals are achievements to celebrate, but the greater victory lies in the experience gained, confidence built, and lessons carried beyond the pool.

From the shores of Selinog to the DACAA pool, our swimmers move forward—one stroke at a time. 🌊🏊‍♂️❤️

Congratulations, Selinog IS Swimming Team! Your effort, courage, and sportsmanship make our school and community proud. 🏆❤️

Selinog IS Strengthens Safety Preparedness Through Collaborative School Drill Orientation

In preparation for the upcoming School Safety Drill, the Officer-in-Charge,Teacher Visitacion Balucan under the guidance and direction of the School Head,Kristine Pon facilitated an orientation with key stakeholders to strengthen the school’s preparedness and coordination.

The orientation brought together representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Barangay Tanods, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs),and teachers. The activity provided an avenue for all stakeholders to clarify their respective roles, coordinate response strategies, and strengthen communication during emergency situations.

More than an orientation, the activity served as an avenue for shared responsibility and collective preparedness, recognizing that keeping learners and school personnel safe is not the responsibility of the school alone. It requires the active participation, cooperation, and commitment of the entire school community and its partners.

Through this collaborative effort, Selinog Integrated School continues to promote a culture of safety, preparedness, vigilance, and resilience, ensuring that everyone is better equipped to respond appropriately and effectively during emergencies.

With strengthened partnerships and clearly defined responsibilities, Selinog IS moves forward with one goal: a safer, more prepared, and more resilient school community.

Selinog IS Cagers Show Grit, Finish 5th in District Meet 2026

August 31, 2026 — With determination etched on every play and the pride of an island school on their shoulders, the Selinog Integrated School Secondary Basketball Team concluded their District Meet 2026 campaign with a 5th-place finish.

Coached by Sir Ejae Embrado, with Sir Art Maghanoy as assistant coach, the young cagers battled against the district’s competing schools, displaying teamwork, discipline, and fighting spirit inside the court.

More than the game itself, the team received a strong boost from their school community. Selinog IS teaching personnel, together with the School Head, stood united on the sidelines, cheering and encouraging the players throughout the competition. Their presence reflected the strong bond within the school—a community that believes that every learner deserves the opportunity to compete, grow, and be celebrated.

Although the team did not secure a spot among the Top 4, their 5th-place finish is far from a defeat. It is proof that they were willing to face the challenge and compete against some of the district’s best. They fought hard, played with determination, and never stopped representing Selinog with pride.

For a school situated on an island, participation itself requires courage and commitment. The journey to the district meet is not always easy, but the team proved that geographical distance cannot limit the dreams and potential of Selinog learners.

To our players, your ranking does not define your achievement. You are champions because you had the courage to represent your school, the discipline to compete, and the heart to fight until the end. You carried the name of Selinog Integrated School with honor, and that is a victory worth celebrating.

Behind every game was a team of people who believed in them—their ever-supportive parents, dedicated coaches, sports coordinator, teaching personnel, and School Head. Their collective efforts, encouragement, and sacrifices helped make this experience possible.

The final score may have been recorded, but the lessons will remain: play with heart, stand with courage, and never be afraid to compete.

The District Meet may have ended, but the spirit of the Selinog cagers lives on.

🏀 Congratulations, Selinog IS Secondary Basketball Team!

5th place on the scoreboard, but champions in determination, character, and school pride. You made Selinog proud. ❤️

From Island to Victory: Selinog IS Badminton Player Bags District Meet Championship

August 31, 2026 — Distance proved no match for determination as Selinog Integrated School celebrated another remarkable milestone during the 2026 District Meet.

On the second day of the competition, Grade 6 learner John Gabriel P. Bucol brought pride to the island community after emerging as Champion in the Badminton Singles Event, showcasing exceptional skill, focus, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

His victory is a product of hard work and consistent guidance from his coach, Teacher Fatima B. Renacia, whose dedication and commitment helped prepare the young athlete for the challenge. The school also commends Jennica Abellon for her active participation and for proudly representing Selinog Integrated School in the badminton event.

The achievement was made even more meaningful through the support of the learners’ parents, whose encouragement and sacrifices continue to inspire their children to pursue their dreams both inside and outside the classroom.

Selinog Integrated School also extends its heartfelt gratitude to School Head Kristine B. Pon for encouraging the learners to participate despite the geographical challenges faced by an island school. Her support and belief in the learners’ potential opened another avenue for them to experience competition, develop their talents, and represent their school beyond the shores of Selinog Island.

More than a gold medal, Bucol’s victory represents the courage to participate, the discipline to prepare, and the determination to overcome limitations. Coming from a Last Mile School, his achievement sends a powerful message: opportunities may be farther to reach, but with the right support and unwavering determination, success is always within reach.

The championship is not only a victory for one athlete—it is a victory for Selinog Integrated School, its teachers, parents, coaches, and the entire island community.

From the shores of Selinog to the district stage, John Gabriel has shown that champions can come from anywhere—and sometimes, they come from an island that dares to dream beyond its shores.

🏸🏆 Congratulations, John Gabriel P. Bucol!

Congratulations as well to Coach Teacher Fatima B. Renacia, Jennica Abellon, and the proud parents. Your Selinog IS family celebrates this achievement with you!✨🎊🤝

SELINOG IS ON THE MOVE: DAY 2 OF DISTRICT MEET 2026

“Not always for the championship, but always for the experience.”

From the shores of Selinog Island, our learners once again set out for Day 2 of District Meet 2026, traveling together with their coaches and School Head.

The journey may be long, the distance challenging, and the preparations demanding—but our commitment remains stronger. We continue to show up because every competition is an opportunity for our learners to learn, grow, build confidence, and create meaningful memories.

We may not always aim for the championship, but we aim for something greater—to give our learners the experience, values, friendships, and lessons that they will carry beyond the playing field.

For Selinog IS, every journey is a victory when our learners are given the chance to dream, participate, and shine. 🏃‍♀️🏅🤍
