Update on the SBI Stakeholders Meeting for SY 2026-2027
The SBI Stakeholders Meeting was successfully conducted today, with good representation from DILG, DepEd and its Public Schools District Supervisors, PIA, Chiefs of Hospitals, MHO, RHU NIP Coordinators, PHO, and PDOH.
The meeting was fruitful, with stakeholders discussing the preparations, roles, and coordination needed for the successful implementation of the School-Based Immunization (SBI) Program.
The vaccines to be administered under the SBI program were also highlighted:
• Grade 1 – MR (Measles-Rubella) and Td (Tetanus-Diphtheria)
• Grade 7 – MR and Td
• Grade 4 female learners – HPV vaccine
• Grade 5 female learners who were not vaccinated with HPV while in Grade 4 – HPV vaccine
One of the concerns raised was the official DepEd guidelines, which are still being awaited. Once these are available, further coordination and preparations will proceed.
A synchronized coordination meeting with parents/guardians and teachers will also be conducted to ensure proper information dissemination, address concerns, and gain their support for the vaccination activities.
Hopefully, with the continued cooperation of all stakeholders and once the necessary guidelines are finalized, SBI vaccination activities can start soon.
Thank you to all our partners for their active participation and commitment to protecting our schoolchildren. Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind.
We are hopeful that vaccination activities will commence soon once the necessary guidelines and coordination arrangements are in place.
Thank you to all stakeholders for their participation and commitment to protecting the health of our schoolchildren.
