The activity was carried out in close partnership with local stakeholders, including the PFWSA and the City Economic Enterprise Management and Development Office, underscoring the importance of a whole-of-community approach in raising awareness on national security and maritime concerns.
Through this initiative, the 27IB continues to strengthen its collaboration with local government units, fisherfolk organizations, and other stakeholders in educating communities, particularly those in coastal areas, on the significance of the West Philippine Sea to the nation's sovereignty, security, and economic well-being. By equipping coastal residents with accurate information and fostering a culture of vigilance and patriotism, the Battalion contributes to building informed, resilient, and security-conscious communities that actively support the protection of the country's maritime interests and territorial integrity.

Philippine, Malaysian Armies Launch TA LAND MALPHI 24/2026 AT 10ID
MAWAB, Davao de Oro โ The Philippine Army, through the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, and the Malaysian Army formally launched the Training Activity (TA) LAND MALPHI 24/2026 during an opening ceremony presided over by Brigadier General Eufracio Joel Malig, Assistant Division Commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, at Headquarters, 10ID, Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., Brgy. Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro, on June 1, 2026.
The 12-day bilateral exercise, scheduled from June 1 to 12, aims to strengthen defense cooperation, enhance interoperability, and improve battle staff planning capabilities through the exchange of best practices and operational experiences in territorial defense and security operations.
The activity features cross-training, tabletop exercises, and command post exercises designed to enhance combined operational effectiveness, strengthen professional competencies, and further deepen military-to-military relations between the Philippine and Malaysian armies.
The Malaysian Army delegation paid a courtesy call on Major General Alvin V. Luzon, Commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, highlighting the strong military-to-military ties and mutual commitment of both armies to strengthening defense cooperation.
A symbolic donning of caps and armbands highlighted the opening ceremony, signifying unity, operational readiness, and the enduring partnership among the participating forces.
Major General Luzon underscored the significance of the exercise, stating, โTA LAND MALPHI demonstrates our shared commitment to strengthening defense cooperation, enhancing interoperability, and building mutual trust among partner armed forces. Through engagements such as this, we develop capable and adaptive forces that contribute to territorial defense, regional security, and lasting stability in our region.โ
TA LAND MALPHI serves as a vital platform for fostering mutual understanding, strengthening professional military relationships, and enhancing the collective readiness of both armies to address shared security challenges and contribute to peace and stability in the region.

In line with its commitment to support education and community development, the 27th Infantry (ACTION) Battalion, participated in the opening of ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ธ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, engaging in various school maintenance and preparation activities across its area of responsibility under the theme, โ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฃ: ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ช๐จ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ข๐๐ฃ.โ
As part of the Department of Educationโs Brigada Eskwela Program, troops from the Battalionโs line companies and patrol bases collaborated with school administrators, barangay officials, parents, and community volunteers in undertaking various school improvement activities. These included clean-up drives, repair and maintenance works, and classroom preparation efforts to ensure schools are ready for the opening of classes.
The simultaneous participation of the battalion in several schools across Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur reflects its unwavering commitment to community development and support to the government's education programs. Through collective efforts and the spirit of bayanihan, the activity further strengthened the partnership among the military, educational institutions, local government units, and the communities they serve.

On 31 May 2026, personnel of Bravo Company, 27th Infantry (ACTION) Battalion, led by Second Lieutenant Eryj Jerl M Dayote (CE) PA, Executive Officer, actively supported the conduct of a medical mission and free haircut activity held at Carmen Integrated School, Brgy. New Carmen, Tugbok District, Davao City. The activity was spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Mindanao Satellite Office headed by Ms. Regina Rose D. Tecson, in partnership with the school administration and the barangay local government unit of New Carmen.
The humanitarian activity was conducted to bring essential healthcare services closer to the community, particularly to residents from geographically isolated and underserved areas. Through the collaborative efforts of government agencies, local officials, healthcare volunteers, and community stakeholders, beneficiaries were provided access to free medical consultations, basic health assessments, and other health-related services aimed at promoting the well-being of the populace.
Throughout the activity, ACTION Troopers were strategically deployed to provide security, maintain peace and order, assist in crowd management, and ensure the safe and orderly conduct of all program activities. Their presence contributed significantly to the smooth and uninterrupted delivery of services, allowing medical personnel and volunteers to effectively attend to the needs of the beneficiaries.
A total of more or less 350 beneficiaries, composed of students, parents, senior citizens, and residents of Brgy. New Carmen and neighboring communities, availed of the services rendered during the activity. Medical professionals and volunteer healthcare workers provided free medical consultations and health screenings, while volunteer barbers offered free haircut services. The successful conduct of the activity highlighted the continuing commitment of the Philippine Army, in partnership with various stakeholders, to support community development initiatives, strengthen civil-military relations, and improve the quality of life of the people.

On 30 May 2026, the Gender and Development (GAD) Section of the 27th Infantry (ACTION) Battalion, led by Second Lieutenant Rolen G. Luzong (INF) PA, GAD Officer, conducted a lecture on โUpskilling Knowledge on Laws Addressing Gender-Based Violenceโ during the Summer Youth Leadership Camp with the theme, โKabataan Ipaglaban, Pang-aabuso ay Iwasan,โ held at Lupiba Family Shrine, Brgy. Manuel Guianga, Tugbok District, Davao City. The activity was attended by 25 youth participants from various barangays of Tugbok District and was conducted in partnership with Maya's Organization Philippines (MOP), Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to combating child sexual abuse and exploitation. The initiative aimed to strengthen the participantsโ awareness of gender-related issues and promote a culture of respect, protection, and inclusivity among the youth.
The lecture focused on Republic Act No. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), Republic Act No. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act), and Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act), equipping the participants with knowledge on their rights and the legal protections against abuse and harassment. Through this initiative, the youth were empowered to become advocates of gender equality, respect, and accountability, helping build safer and more inclusive communities.

On May 29, 2026, Charlie Company, 27th Infantry (Action) Battalion, led by Second Lieutenant Andrei Karl T Sepe (INF) PA, Executive Officer of Charlie Company, participated during a community outreach activity conducted by Batch 2001 of Maryknoll Panabo at Katualan Elementary School, Panabo City, Davao del Norte. Spearheaded by Mr. Michael Uy, President of MCPI Alumni Batch 2001, the outreach activity aimed to extend assistance to students and their families through the distribution of school supplies, medicines, vitamins, hygiene kits, and rice assistance to 120 beneficiaries from Brgy. Katualan.
In addition, 27IB also rendered free haircut services to children and local residents, highlighting the unitโs commitment to humanitarian and civic action programs. The activity, attended by local officials and school representatives, further strengthened the partnership between the military, stakeholders, and the community in promoting public welfare and inclusive community development.

The activity was facilitated by the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) Blood Bank in coordination with the Barangay Health Workers and barangay officials headed by Hon. Celso Bughao, Barangay Chairman of Brgy Lumiad, PDDC.
The activity highlighted the spirit of volunteerism, unity, and community partnership in saving lives through blood donation. The participation of the troops reflects the continued commitment of the unit in supporting humanitarian activities and strengthening collaboration with the local government and the community towards a peaceful and healthy environment.

On May 29, 2026, Charlie Company of 27th Infantry (Action) Battalion, led by Captain Jamesfer A Aquino (INF) PA, Commanding Officer, attended the โ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐๐น๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ (๐ฅ-๐ฃ๐ฆ๐) ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด-๐จ๐ฝโ held at Marangal Hall, Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office, Brgy. Visayan Village, Tagum City. The activity was attended by key officials from the Philippine National Police, R-PSB Clusters, and partner agencies to discuss the accomplishments, issues, and concerns related to the implementation of the R-PSB Program in the province.
The participation of 27IB in the activity signifies the unitโs continued commitment in strengthening coordination and collaboration with the Philippine National Police and local stakeholders in support of peace, security, and development initiatives. On 26 May 2026 | Panabo City, Davao del Norte โ In line with the continuous effort to strengthen coastal defense and maritime security operations, Charlie Company, 27th Infantry Battalion, led by Captain Jamesfer S Aquino (INF) PA, participated in a Joint Seaborne and Coastal Patrol Operation together with the Coast Guard Station Panabo City, headed by LTJG RODOLF D.C. BATOSALEM PCG, Deputy Commander, and personnel of the Panabo City Police Station. The joint operation covered the coastal waters of Barangays San Pedro, Cagangohan, and J.P. Laurel, Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
The activity was undertaken to intensify maritime security measures, deter illegal fishing, smuggling, and other unlawful maritime activities, while ensuring the safety and protection of coastal communities and local fisherfolk within the area of operations.
The successful conduct of the joint patrol underscores the unwavering commitment and operational synergy among the Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine National Police in safeguarding the country's coastal borders and maintaining peace, order, and public safety in the maritime domain.
