2 platoon ng NPA sa Samar nabuwag ng Phil Army

Matagumpay na napabagsak ng Philippine Army ang dalawang aktibong platoon ng New People's Army sa Samar noong 2024. Ayon sa 802nd Infantry Brigade, ang "Bugsok" at "Apoy" platoons ay nawalan ng lakas dahil sa mga operasyon ng militar at sa pagsuko ng 43 NPA fighters. Ang mga dating rebelde ay tumatanggap na ngayon ng tulong mula sa pamahalaan upang makapagsimula ng bagong buhay.

DSWD pinahusay ang sistema
para sa mga dating rebelde

Plano ng Department of Social Welfare and Development na magpatupad ng bago at pinahusay na case management system para sa mga dating rebelde upang mapabuti ang mga pagsisikap ng pamahalaan sa kapayapaan sa 2025.

Ang programa, na nakahanay sa programang Buong Bansa Mapayapa, ay magsasangkot ng mga sinanay na social worker sa pagbibigay ng suporta sa mga dating miyembro ng non-state armed groups at decommissioned combatant, pagtugon sa kanilang natatanging pangangailangan at ng kanilang mga pamilya.

Sa isang sama-samang pagkilos kasama ang mga opisyal ng barangay at mga sundalo, tinanggal at sinunog nila ang mga propaganda materials ng NPA sa barangay Roosevelt at Almine. Ipinapakita nito ang kanilang determinasyon na wakasan ang karahasan at itaguyod ang kaunlaran sa kanilang komunidad.

With the full support of the active community, which consistently provides information about individuals involved in illegal drugs, the DCPO team successfully conducted the following operations within just 24 hours, achieving positive results:

Three (3) Anti-Illegal Drug Operations were carried out by the following Police Stations of DCPO, resulting in the apprehension of Four (4) drug personalities and the confiscation of shabu and Ma*****na Leaves worth Php 12,946.00 at standard value price:

• PS1-Sta-ana confiscated Shabu and Ma*****na Leaves with an estimated SDP of Php 12,862.00.

• PS2-San Pedro confiscated Shabu with an estimated SDP of Php 84.00.

DCPO acknowledges and appreciates the support of the Barangay Officials, the community, and the Local Government Unit in joining this campaign. Illegal drugs are a significant factor contributing to crime in various areas. Thus, DCPO team will not cease conducting operations against illegal drugs to provide a safer place for all Dabawenyos.
