K-Kids of Galon Elementary School Officially Launches with Officer Installation & Charter Presentation
Galon Elementary School’s K-Kids Club marked a significant milestone recently as it held its official installation of officers and presentation of the charter certificate — all made possible through the support of its sponsoring club, the Kiwanis Club of Royale Davao.
The event brought together students, teachers and Kiwanis members to celebrate the formation of the school’s newest youth leadership organization, which aims to nurture kindness, service, and leadership skills among young learners.
The key highlights of the events were the installation of the newly set of officers where they took their oath, committing to uphold the club’s mission of serving the school and community.
In addition, a moment of great pride unfolded as representatives from the Kiwanis Club of Royale Davao took the stage to hand over the official charter certificate. This significant document formally recognized the K-Kids of Galon Elementary School as an official registered youth club under the esteemed Kiwanis International Family, marking a major milestone in the club’s journey and opening doors to new opportunities for collaboration, resources, and global youth initiatives.
As the formal event wrapped up, a warm and joyful surprise awaited every single K-Kids member of Galon Elementary School. The venue was with laughter and glowing expressions as the young ones received their gifts, turning the final moments of the gathering into a celebration of new journeys and the special tie that unites all K-Kids together.

November 22, 2025: Throwback Saturday to our GES Star Scouts had a memorable time at the Star Revel held at Camp Corazon, Toril Davao City. The joy and smiles on their faces said it all!

BsP and GsP Troops Gather for 3-Day Joint Encampment at Galon Elementary School
There are 79 Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BsP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GsP) members of Galon Elememtary School gathered for the three-day joint encampment on November 21-23, 2025. The event successfully created a strong feeling of friendship, shared skills, and togetherness within the scouts.
The event kicked off on November 21, 2025 at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon with a colorful opening ceremony led by scouter Perla Lincuna, the BsP school coordinator and Tita Maricel Pondoyo, GsP school Coordinator together with the school commissioner scouter Dennis M. Perez and teachers, who urged scouts to “carry the values of scouting in every step they take.” The ceremony featured a flag-raising, troop marches, and a collective pledge to uphold scouting principles of loyalty, courage, and service.
A highlight of the first day was the search for Mr. and Ms. BsP-GsP, where 8 delegates showcased their poise, scouting knowledge and talents. Lyra Mae Calsa and Ghezer Sean Barranco were crowned as Mr. and Ms. BsP and GsP 2025.
A dawn peace walk took place on the morning of November 22, where scouts marched along Cuidades Road before sunrise. They carried lighted candles as a symbol of hope, spiritual commitment, and a public declaration of their intent for peace and safety in the community.
A competition characterized by enthusiasm and good sportsmanship was held. Teams participated in games like sack race, pass the ball, and paper dance—all designed to test speed and teamwork. This was followed by a cooking contest, where troops prepared their own lunch dishes.
Galon’s scouting community closed the encampment with an award ceremony. The activities created an enduring memory of unity and camaraderie for the Galon scouters.

📣 Galon ES Twinkler Scouts Play Day @ Waan ES!
The Galon ES Twinkler Scouts spent an exciting day filled with smiles and energy. They enjoyed a lively Zumba dance and actively joined the fun in every game station.

GALON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LEADS BAKUNA ESKWELA 2025 VACCINATION DRIVE
November 20, 2025 — Galon Elementary School took a significant step toward protecting learners’ health as it partnered with the Department of Health (DOH) and Barangay Health Workers (BHW) to administer MR-TD and HPV vaccines. The program aims to strengthen children’s immunity against vaccine-preventable diseases and ensure a healthier, safer learning environment for all.
The vaccination activity was led by Dr. Tifany Jan Atega Recla, with the school principal, Sir Dennis M. Perez, ensuring that the activity ran smoothly and was carried out for Grade 1 and Grade 4 learners. Teachers guided the learners, and parents supported their children throughout the day.
Before the rollout, parents attended orientation on the benefits of the vaccines, helping them make confident and informed decisions regarding their children’s well-being. Their involvement played a vital role in fostering a supportive and health-conscious school community.
Galon Elementary School’s proactive approach to vaccination reflects its ongoing mission to safeguard learners and promote a culture of health and safety on campus. Its collaboration with DOH and BHW demonstrates how strong partnerships can help create a secure environment where students can learn and grow with confidence.
As the school continues to champion initiatives that protect and uplift its learners, efforts like the Bakuna Eskwela 2025 serve as a reminder of the importance of community cooperation. Galon Elementary School proudly joined the KABSAYAHAN activity held at BSP Camp, Malagos! We are truly grateful to our supportive parents who continue to stand behind every school endeavor. Sincere appreciation also goes to all teachers for the support - especially those who accompanied the learners during the entire activity and ensured that they were safe - Sct. Jesielyn Paraiso Mancia , Sct. Lyra Mae Tarnate and Sct. Elizabeth Olaer-Geralla Longhas . And to the principal/school commisioner Sct. Dennis Maquiling Perez for the constant encouragement and leadership light the way for every activity we undertake.

Galon Elementary School's SELG actively participated in the Barangay Children’s Congress 2025 Barangay Mandug last Thursday, November 13, 2025, under the theme “WAKASAN: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban,” in support of National Children’s Month.
The school extends its gratitude to GES SELG Adviser, Maam Maricel Pondoyo, for her guidance which allowed our student leaders to gain valuable learning experiences from this event.

Gulayan sa Paaralan Evaluation ✨
The Gulayan sa Paaralan program evaluation, spearheaded by Dr. Melinda A. Roma, the esteemed Public School District Supervisor of Buhangin West District, is set to broaden its scope. This initiative aims to enhance nutritional education, promote sustainable agriculture, and foster community involvement.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our school's GPP coordinator, Ma'am Perla Lincuna, for her unwavering dedication.
And also, we are incredibly grateful to all the teachers who have generously given their time and energy to support the Gulayan sa Paaralan program.
