Mental Wellness Center for the Homeless is a City Government of Davao funded facility that serves as a halfway house and aims to provide holistic care to Homeless Psychotic Vagrants in the city specially during the pandemic. It is mandated by City Ordinance No.0210-20, also known as ‘’An Ordinance for the Establishment of Mental Wellness Center of Davao City and Appropriating Funds Therefor” in compliance with the Mental Health Code of Davao City.
A halfway home is a post-recovery home that provides shelter to recovered persons with mental disabilities who are abandoned, neglected and homeless and found living or staying on the streets. This facility caters to the mentally disabled individuals who no longer require the complete facilities of a hospital or institution but are not yet prepared to return to independent living.
