By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 1906, issued on October 5, 2009, the month of October is officially recognized as National Indigenous Peoples Month in the Philippines. This proclamation is rooted in Republic Act No. 8371, the Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ Rights Act (IPRA), which affirms the dignity, identity, and rights of Indigenous Peoples across the nation.

At Pamulaan, we remain steadfast in our mission to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities throughout the Philippines. This month is a time to honor our ancestors, safeguard the wisdom of our cultures, and celebrate the resilience that continues to sustain our people.

National Indigenous Peoples Month is not only a recognition of our history-it is also a call to action. It is to ensure a future where Indigenous voices are heard, rights are upheld, and cultural heritage thrives as a living source of strength for generations to come.

Together, we celebrate who we are. We are the bearers of identity, the soul of Filipino culture, stewards of tradition, and partners in building a just and inclusive nation.

Happy National Indigenous Peoples' Month!
