‎Alang sa mga buot mag-apply, ipasa ang mga gikinahanglang requirements sa OSCA-Davao sama sa kompletong application form, valid primary ID, bag-ong 2x2 ID picture, ug whole-body picture sa senior citizen nga nagagunit og kasamtangang bulan sa kalendaryo nga nakaprint sa A4 nga papel.

Naipamahagi na ngayong araw ang tig-P100,000 cash gift sa apat na centenarian aetas. Tunay ngang mabilis umaksyon si kasalukuyang National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC) Chairperson Merceditas Gutierrez.

Sinaksihan natin ang pagbibigay sa cash gift at natutuwa tayong makitang masaya sina lolo at lolo pati na ang kanilang pamilya.

Sa wakas, nagbunga na rin ang ilang ulit na apela ng Senior Citizens Party-list at ng buong sektor ng mga retirees sa SSS!

At long last, the Social Security System is implementing new increases in its pension rates and benefits for retirees.

I commend the SSS, including their actuarial math wizards, because they went above and beyond expectations in ways that were fair and equitable to the retirees. We appreciate your hard work.

The new pension rates are fair and equitable because they are computed by factoring in the credited years of service and salary increases while still working, instead of a flat rate increase across the board.

📸 The table illustrates the estimated pension increases for sample cases over the three-year implementation period.

The more years worked and the higher your salary during those years worked, the higher the pension increases.

SSS is circumspect and facts-based with this new round of increases.

They are also fiscally-responsible by spreading the financial burden over three years.

With the new pension rates, my belief and hope in the SSS is strengthened.

I also laud the SSS for gradually extending their voluntary membership and benefits coverage to contract of service and job order personnel in government. These government personnel do not have GSIS, so SSS voluntary membership gives them security and qualified access to loans they need for essentials.

I am more hopeful now that someday in the future, the mandate of the SSS can include the operation and management of the senior citizen's pension. (END)

Department of Information Communication Technology (DICT) with Office for Senior Citizens' Affairs (OSCA DAVAO) Head Luis R. Moran and his office staff and determined senior citizens attendees Celebrated the National ICT month 2024 by conducting a Kick-off Ceremony with a theme "Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas" . This activity is to proposed collaboration between DICT and OSCA to enhance online registration services for senior citizens and recognizing the crucial role of technology in enhancing accessibility.
