The Barangay Indangan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee conducted its Siren Testing together with the Citywide Siren Testing every 1200H. of Tuesday.

This is a preventive practice to ensure that our Emergency Siren is working and can be used in times of disaster.

The community can expect that every 12 noon of Tuesday, you will hear a "STEADY TONE" Siren for about 30 seconds.

BDRRMO Indangan commitments on Disaster Preparedness in line with our Core Values, little by little, will be improved to safeguard and educate the community to disaster resiliency and preparedness.

The 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (BIRADA) responded to a report of a Traffic Incident involving a motorcycle collision at Purok San Andres, Brgy. Indangan, Davao City.
The incident resulted in two (2) male casualties:

𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏: A 53-year-old male who sustained a forehead abrasion, multiple abrasions on his upper and lower extremities, and a punctured wound with a deformity on his left leg. Our rescue team immediately performed wound dressing and stabilized the affected limb using a splint.

𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐: A 21-year-old male who sustained multiple abrasions on the back of his head, the left side of his face, and his left hand.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a thorough medical assessment and monitored the vital signs of both patients. Both individuals were successfully transported to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC-ER) for further medical treatment and specialized care.

The 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (BIRADA) successfully facilitated a 𝟐-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐁𝐋𝐒) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for the staff and students of 𝐂𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐳 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 held at the IMS Sky Atrium, IMS Building, S. de Jesus St., Davao City.

Participated by more than 100 participants on Day 1 and more than 300 participants on Day 2.

The activity aimed to equip participants with life-saving skills and essential first-aid knowledge, ensuring they are prepared to respond effectively during medical emergencies within the school environment and the community.

By empowering our youth and educators with these vital skills, we continue to move closer to a safer and more disaster-resilient community.

The 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (BIRADA) responded to a report of a Fallen Tree at km.15 R. Gonzales Vill., Barangay Indangan, Buhangin, Davao City.

The incident occurred at estimated 1858H, posing a potential obstruction and hazard to the community. Our rescue team onboard units immediately arrived at the scene to conduct an assessment and carry out the necessary clearing operations.

The team worked efficiently to ensure the area was cleared of debris and safe for residents and passing motorists. Operations were successfully done by 1910H.

The 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (BIRADA) joins the global community in celebrating International Firefighters’ Day, honoring the extraordinary bravery and dedication of those who risk their lives to protect ours.

Today, we give a special salute to our Fire Responders, Volunteers, and Fire Brigades who stand ready 24/7 to face the heat and smoke. Your courage in the face of danger and your commitment to preserving life and property are the true marks of heroism in our community. We also pause to remember the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
