It is mandated to provide continuing education and career training needs of the police, fire and jail officers.

The National Police College formally welcomed its new Director, PBGEN Victor V. Arevalo (Ret.) PhD, during a ceremonial program attended by officials, faculty members, staff, and trainees. The occasion marked a new chapter of leadership and commitment to excellence in police education, training, and professional development. In his message, PBGEN Victor V Arevalo (Ret.) PhD emphasized integrity, discipline, innovation, and teamwork in strengthening the institution’s mission of producing competent and service-oriented public safety leaders. Personnel expressed optimism and support for his administration, recognizing his extensive experience and dedication to advancing the standards of law enforcement education and institutional growth nationwide.

The NPC Davao held the 6th Research Conference 2026 with the theme, “Strengthening Public Safety Systems: Evidence-Based Policy, Innovation Ecosystems, and Interagency Synergy,” with the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course Class 2025-03 “SARARO” on April 29, 2026, at the Function Hall, NPC Davao Academic Building, San Francisco St., Mintal, Davao City. This initiative was under the leadership of PLTCOL JERWIN P EMBOLODE, PhD.
The event was graced by Dr. Rec E. Eguia, MPSA, Professor VI from the University of Southeastern Philippines, NPC Davao Action Research Coordinator, and was attended by distinguished experts, mentors, PSOSEC CL 2026-04 “KASANDIGAN”, PSOAC 2026-04 “BUKLOD LAKAS”, Boy Scout of the Philippines Davao Council, and students from the University of Southeastern Philippines.

The National Police College Davao Campus successfully conducted its Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on April 6, 2026, at the NPC Davao Academics Building.
This activity is spearheaded by PLTCOL JERWIN P EMBOLODE, MPSA, PhD., Campus Director, together with the NPC staff. The activity gathered all personnel and student-officers of PSOSEC Class 2026-04, PSOAC Class 2026-04, and PSOBC Class 2026-12 in a meaningful display of unity and patriotism.
More than a routine ceremony, the event served as a platform to strengthen discipline, reinforce core values, and instill a deeper sense of responsibility among future law enforcers in their commitment to public safety and order.

The National Police College–Davao, under the leadership of PLTCOL JERWIN P EMBOLODE, MPSA, PhD, Campus Director, and officiated by Dr. Ma. Mirasol R. Uy, MPSA, Program Manager, formally opened the Master in Public Safety Administration (MPSA) Regular Class 2025-33 on February 9, 2026, at Apo View Hotel, Camus Extension, Poblacion District, Davao City.

The class is composed of forty-five (45) MPSA scholars, twenty-nine (29) of which are from the uniformed sector and sixteen (16) are from the civilian government sector. The event was graced by PBGEN Ferdinando G. Sevilla (Ret), DPSSG, President of the Philippine Public Safety College, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The Master in Public Safety Administration (MPSA) is a one-year, advanced program in policy, strategy, and leadership for highly qualified senior executives in public safety and security. It is specifically offered to prepare the next generation of administrators and leaders to expand their competencies and develop a comprehensive, strategic, and global outlook on public stability administration and governance. The program is anchored within the broader framework of homeland security and the international security system, ensuring that graduates are equipped to address complex and evolving public safety challenges.

The National Police College–Davao, as the Center of Futures Thinking and Innovation in Public Safety, conducted the Futures Congress in Public Safety, featuring the presentation and exhibit of ten (10) Foresight Policy Papers focused on adaptive governance and public safety strategies for 2040 on January 16, 2026, at the Academic Building, National Police College Davao Campus, spearheaded by PLTCOL JERWIN P EMBOLODE, MPSA, PhD, and was moderated by Dr. Rec E. Eguia, MPSA, Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight Guru together with Dr. Jinnifer D. Arroyo, MPSA, the class learning manager.

This initiative highlighted the Institution’s commitment to advancing innovative and resilient public safety leadership.
