The Search for LAKAN AT HIYAS NG TIBUNGCO 2026 is on! Are you the Next Lakan at Hiyas Ng Tibungco 2026?

Qualifications:
1. Must be a bona fide Barangay Tibungco Resident.
2. Must be 15-30 years old.
3. Single with no child.
4. Not a Current Title Holder of any Local and National Beauty Pageant.

Screening will be on October 24, 2026, 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Barangay Hall of Barangay Tibungco, 3RD FLOOR!

Please bring the following requirements on the screening schedule:

1. Valid ID
2. Purok Certification
3. Document with 20 Signatories of Neighbors including Purok Leader
4. One 3R Close Up and One Whole Body picture

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH 2026: “BATTLE OF QUEENS”

The queens are back, and the battle for the crown begins! ✨

Queen of the South 2026 is a transgender pageant celebrating beauty, talent, confidence, and empowerment. This special edition brings together former titleholders and Top 5 finalists from previous editions to showcase their growth, celebrate sisterhood, and shine once again on the grand stage.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Must be 18 years old and above.

* Must be a former Queen of the South titleholder or Top 5 finalist from any previous edition.

* Must submit a pageant portfolio highlighting previous pageant experiences and achievements, including valid proof of a previous Queen of the South title or placement for verification.

* Must submit a minimum one-minute introduction video answering:

“Why do you deserve to be part of the first-ever Queen of the South: Battle of Queens 2026?”

* Must be available for all official pageant activities

Barangay Tibungco Functionaries, together with the Barangay Council, are now embarking on a four-day training at Lantaw Bukid View Park Resort, Los Amigos, Tugbok District, Davao City, to equip first responders, community leaders, and humanitarian workers with the technical knowledge and practical tools required to manage displacement sites and temporary camps during disasters efficiently.

This training attended by Purok Leaders, Health Workers (BNS & BHW), Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Personnel, and Barangay Tanods to strengthen local capacity, streamline emergency coordination, and ensure relief operations prioritize safety, dignity, and inclusivity for affected families.

Strengthening Purok leadership, fostering collaboration, and empowering our community leaders!

The Purok Leaders of Barangay Tibungco participated in the Purok Leader Capacity Development Training held at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites last October 9-10, 2026, aimed at enhancing their knowledge, skills, and capabilities in community leadership, public service, and effective governance.

The training featured insightful discussions on the following topics:

📌 Alternative Dispute Resolution – discussed and headed by Mr. Michael Jay M. Calunsag from the Ateneo de Davao Legal Advocacy Work, highlighting the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and mediation within the community.

📌 PhilHealth Point of Service and Medical Social Work Programs – presented by Mr. Alvin E. Quiñones, RSW, and Mr. Ronelo Ubat, RSW, providing valuable insights into healthcare assistance and social welfare services available to community members.

📌 Building Purok Information and Effective Communication – discussed by Mr. Matias G. Regis, Jr., emphasizing the importance of organized and accessible community information, as well as clear and effective communication in strengthening community engagement, coordination, and decision-making.

Beyond the learning sessions, the Purok Leaders also participated in an energizing team-building activity designed to strengthen camaraderie, encourage teamwork, and build stronger working relationships among community leaders.

Through this initiative, Barangay Tibungco continues to invest in the development of its Purok Leaders, recognizing their vital role as partners in delivering responsive public service and promoting sustainable community development.
