AARVDC is an interorganizational body of government and non-government active responders and volunteers of Davao City. Vision:
The AARVDC, Inc.
Formerly known as Federation(FARVDC), the association was officially founded on January 25, 2020 and registered in the SEC on May 2021. envisions to unify all the active responders and volunteers of the City in reaching for the common good. Envisaging for consistent & efficient enforcement of DRRM, becoming an active involvement, and PRO-ACTIVE RESILIENT on preparedness, reduction, mitigation, re
sponse, recovery and emergency service providers in nation building in accordance with the law and providence of Divine, the association views for a justifiable cause and true acknowledgement of every volunteer operatives, whose dignity are all about priceless service. Mission:
Guided by the vision, bodies of Association of Active Responders and Volunteers of Davao City perpetrated themselves to:
1. Incorporate every active responders and volunteers of City of Davao;
2. Nurture, educate, enhance and, equip with knowledge, skills, tools and equipment;
3. Manifest efficiently the RA 10121/The Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010; RA 9418/Volunteer Act of 2007 (Section 7) through active development, enactment and practice of the law in the local context;
4. Establish an official office which signifies the foundational structure of the association;
5. Engage with active and effective coordination as well as participation in different agencies of the local government units (The City Council, DRRMO, CSWDO, PSSCC, among others) that has a substantial role in helping to achieve the goals and aspirations of the association and its stakeholders;
6. Engaged thru partnership, coordination and, collaboration with the LGUโs and other sectors of government and private entities;
7. Acknowledge the worth of every volunteer emergency service provider by providing a legal support, creation of programs and other movement in accordance to the provisionsโwhich truly grant their authentic service and;
8. Assist/help/support every barangay grassroots level in appreciating the importance of the DRRM Program. GOAL:
By the year 2030, the Association of Active Responders and Volunteers of Davao City (AARVDC) aims to implore the noble task to extend humanitarian efforts, as one of the supporting arm of Davao City Government on the implementation of Prevention & Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery & Rehabilitation, and the rest of the twenty eight (28) duties and responsibilities cited under the PDRRMA of 2010โestablished permanent office to every barangay/districts equipped with tools, equipment, communication facility, transportation, and operatives with insurances, allowances and, benefits which are capable to operate 24/7. Further, the AARVDC position themselves as an instrument in reaching the common goal of every active responder and volunteer as the auxiliary of DRRM and to help every society in appreciating the importance of such programs and become PRO-ACTIVE resilient with holistic, honorific, effective, efficient linkages with passion, dedication and patriotism by means of humanitarian efforts rendered.

Due to the water level increase of Matina River along Brgy. Matina Biao is now monitored at ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐) increasing.
With these, BDRRMCs along this river system are advised to alert the communities living in flood-prone areas, conduct rekorida, and report to Apo Base for any changes that may transpire in their respective area of responsibility.
Meanwhile, the PUBLIC is reminded to be vigilant and address the situation proactively.

Due to the weather disturbance brought by the Southwest Monsoon, areas within Davao City are experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.
With these, all BDRRMCs and volunteer groups along Bago Creek, Talomo, and Lipadas rivers are advised to preposition resources, closely monitor all flood and landslide-prone areas, and report to Apo Base for any changes that may transpire in their respective area of responsibility.
Meanwhile, the PUBLIC is reminded to be vigilant and address the situation proactively.
