In order to give way to clearing operations and ensure the safety and welfare of individuals affected by flooding incidents in the city due to heavy rainfall brought by Easterlies and ITCZ on Monday evening, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔:

1. Face-to-face classes and school activities in ALL LEVELS in all public and private educational institutions in the city are hereby suspended;

2. Work in all national and local government offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations in Davao City, is suspended, EXCEPT for offices performing safety and security, health, social services and disaster and emergency response services;

3. Private offices and establishments are given the discretion to suspend work but are encouraged to do so for the welfare and safety of their employees.

​Today, the leadership of Barangay Acacia, headed by Punong Barangay Marlito C. Laran, together with the Barangay Council, Sangguniang Kabataan, and our various Barangay Functionaries, participated in the 2026 Parada Dabawenyo.

​This participation highlights our community's commitment to unity and our shared identity as Davaoeños. We are proud to be part of the city’s 89-year journey of resilience and growth.

Upon receiving a report regarding a dead hazardous tree in Purok New Visayas, Brgy Barangay Acacia, Davao City , and upon the directive of Punong Barangay Marlito C. Laran, Barangay Kagawad Renee James Molijon, Brgy. Kagawad Ricky Patris Debalocos and Brgy Kagawad Rodulfo Arañez immediately conducted an inspection of the area. After careful assessment, it was confirmed that the tree posed a serious risk to passers-by.
In response to the identified danger, they coordinated with Central 911, who promptly acted to remove the said tree to ensure public safety, with assistance from Kagawad Molijon and Kagawad Jefrey Ganoria .

We extend our sincere appreciation to Central 911 for their swift and immediate action in addressing the reported hazardous tree. Your prompt response and dedication to public safety are truly commendable. Thank you for your continued service to the community.
