Thanksgiving Mass, Blessing and Turn-Over Ceremonies, and Awarding of Topnotchers
4th KADASIG Festival and 73rd Araw ng Mabini
As part of the celebration of the 4th KADASIG Festival and the 73rd Araw ng Mabini, a Thanksgiving Mass was solemnly held, gathering local officials, national agency representatives, and the community in a unified expression of gratitude and faith. The Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Arturo S. Luayon, who delivered a meaningful homily highlighting the importance of unity, service, and faith in fostering a progressive and resilient municipality.
Following the mass, Rev. Fr. Arturo S. Luayon officiated the blessing of a newly acquired Fire Rescue Vehicle, symbolizing protection and strengthened emergency response capability for the Municipality of Mabini. The vehicle was then formally turned over by Mayor Emerson Luego to the Mabini Fire Station in a ceremonial turnover attended by key officials from the Bureau of Fire Protection. Present during the activity were Assistant Regional Director for Administration, FSSUPT Bernalita L. Silagan, Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal Officer-in-Charge, FCINSP Joey M. Militar, and Municipal Fire Marshal Michael M. Alferez, whose presence underscored the agency’s continued support in enhancing local fire safety services.
In addition, six (6) motorcycles and two (2) tuk-tuk tricycles were also turned over to further boost mobility and improve the delivery of public safety services, especially in geographically challenging and remote areas of the municipality.
Another highlight of the event was the awarding of topnotchers of various licensure examinations. The recognition was given to outstanding individuals from Mabini who demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. This segment of the program celebrated not only their academic achievements but also their contribution to the pride and inspiration of the community. The awardees were commended for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, serving as role models for the youth.

The MM Inter-Collegiate (25 Under) Basketball Tournament 2026 successfully brought together some of the region’s most promising young athletes in a showcase of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The tournament featured two exciting matchups: DMMA College of Southern Philippines vs. MV Miners Basketball and University of Cebu Webmasters vs. Rizal Memorial Colleges, drawing enthusiastic support from students, faculty, and local sports enthusiasts.
The event formally commenced with a ceremonial toss led by Mayor Emerson Luego , whose presence underscored the local government’s continued commitment to youth development and sports programs. He was joined by Municipal Sports Coordinator, Sharalyn G. Sabio, who has been instrumental in organizing and promoting sporting events in the municipality. The ceremonial toss symbolized unity, fair play, and the official opening of the tournament.
In the first game, DMMA College of Southern Philippines faced off against MV Miners Basketball in a competitive match marked by fast-paced action and strategic plays. Both teams displayed strong offensive and defensive efforts, keeping the audience engaged throughout the game.

Mipaña ang “Kasalan ng Bayan 2026,” diin 11 ka magtiayon ang opisyal nga gikasal pinaagi sa seremonyang gipangulohan ni Mayor Emerson Luego . Ang maong kalihokan nagpakita sa padayon nga paningkamot sa LGU sa paghatag og kahigayunan sa mga magtiayon nga mahimong legal ang ilang panaghiusa ug mapalig-on ang pundasyon sa pamilya sa komunidad.

Ang maong seremonya gipangunahan ni Bishop Emeritus Wilfredo Manlapaz, kinsa maampingong nagpahigayon sa ritwal sa bendisyon ug nag-ampo alang sa kalampusan, kalinaw, ug panalangin sa tanang mogamit sa maong pasilidad.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Opening of the Agri Trade Fair
The Municipality of Mabini successfully held the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the Agri Trade Fair, a significant highlight of the town’s celebration. HEALTH SERVICES PROGRAM
A comprehensive Health Services Program was successfully conducted yesterday (May 25, 2026) in the celebration of the 73rd Araw ng Mabini and the 4th KADASIG Festival, through the collaborative efforts of the Office of Congressman Jhong Ceniza, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro headed by Governor Raul “RM” Mabanglo , and the Local Government Unit of Mabini under the leadership of Mayor Emerson Luego, in partnership with the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) and the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Mabini.
The activity aimed to bring essential medical services closer to the community, particularly benefiting indigent residents and those with limited access to healthcare. It highlighted the government’s continued commitment to promoting accessible, inclusive, and quality health services for all constituents.
