Earlier today, three (3) fire affected families from Brgy. Lambahon, Baganga, Davao Oriental recieved ₱30,000.00 each as financial assistance under the National Housing Authority (NHA)’ Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP). The funds are intended to support the rebuilding of their damaged homes.
The distribution activity took place at the NHA Regional Office XI, located at the 2F C55 Realty Corp. Bldg., Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
Acting on behalf of Engr. Shariffudin I. Nami, Officer-in-Charge of NHA Region XI, Mr. Gerold P. Namoc, District Manager of the Davao Oriental/Davao de Oro District Office, led the activity. The event was also witnessed by representatives from Barangay Lambajon and the Baganga Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).

March 12, 2026, || Mr. Gerold P. Namoc, District Manager of the National Housing Authority (NHA) XI – Davao Oriental/Davao de Oro District Office, formally handed over the Certificate of Incorporation (COI) issued by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region XI. The certificate confirms that the Farmers and Fisherfolks Resettlement HOA, Inc. from Purok Mapanga, Brgy. Calubihan, Banaybanay, Davao Oriental has been officially registered as a Homeowners Association after successfully completing all the required documentation.
The COI was received by the HOA officers headed by Mr. Rolando I. Millan, HOA President, together with Ms. Jocelyn M. Libar, HOA Secretary, and Ms. Roselyn G. Caminade, HOA Treasurer.
During the activity, Mr. Recky G. Briones, Senior Community Support Services Officer, provided a short orientation to the HOA officers regarding the post-registration requirements that must be submitted to DHSUD Region XI within 90 days to obtain their Original Certificate of Incorporation.
Also present during the turnover ceremony were Mr. Niño L. Silveron, Acting Community Support Services Chief; Mr. Ryan Ceazar Q. Camarillo, Community Support Services Officer; and Ms. Jonna M. Curacha, Community Support Services Officer.

UPDATE| NHA Assists Freedom Residences HOA in Conducting Election of Board of Directors (BODs) and Officers
LOOK: On December 13, 2025 (Saturday), the National Housing Authority (NHA) XI, represented by Helen R. Quiratman, Acting Community Support Services Development Chief, on behalf of Engr. Shariffuddin I. Nami, OIC Regional Manager of NHA XI, and in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Davao del Norte, assisted the Freedom Residences Homeowners Association, Inc. (FRHOA) in the conduct of its election of the Board of Directors (BODs) and Officers.
FRHOA elected a new set of five (5) BODs and Officers, who will take on leadership roles and manage, ensuring peace and harmony within the community.
The said activity was made possible with the collaborative support of the NHA, PSWDO, and the Philippine Army, ensuring that the election was carried out in an orderly and peaceful manner.
This activity is one of the NHA's commitments to fostering organized and harmonious communities in its housing projects.

Strengthening Resilience: Project Beneficiaries of Balai Ayamaon Trained on DRRM and Climate Change Adaptation
Laak, Davao de Oro — December 9–10, 2025. Thirty (30) project beneficiaries of Balai Ayamaon, a project under the National Housing Authority’s (NHA) Housing Assistance Program for Indigenous Peoples, participated in a two-day intensive training on Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM) at the Municipal Tribal Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Laak, Davao de Oro.
The training aimed to equip Indigenous Peoples (IPs) with practical knowledge and skills to strengthen community resilience in the face of natural hazards and climate-related challenges. Recognizing that housing assistance must go hand-in-hand with disaster preparedness and environmental stewardship, the sessions combined technical learning with participatory activities rooted in local context.
Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of DRRM, including hazard identification, vulnerability assessment, and community preparedness. Resource Persons emphasized the importance of early warning systems, evacuation planning, and household emergency kits.
The two-day training successfully empowered the Balai Ayamaon beneficiaries to become proactive agents of resilience and environmental stewardship. By integrating disaster preparedness and climate adaptation into their housing and community initiatives, the Indigenous Peoples of Laak are better equipped to protect lives, preserve cultural heritage, and promote sustainable development.
This initiative reflects NHA’s commitment to not only providing housing assistance but also ensuring that communities thrive in safe, resilient, and sustainable environments.

UPDATE | Conduct of GAD–Gender-Responsive Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM) Trainings in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur
LOOK: On December 3–4, 2025, the NHA XI–Davao City/Digos City/Is Garden Samal/Davao del Sur/Davao del Norte District Office, led by Ms. Shirley Mercedes S. Brion, OIC Program Head, on behalf of Engr. Shariffuddin I. Nami, OIC Regional Manager, conducted the Gender-Responsive DRRM and CCAM Trainings at the Conference Room of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.
The two-day training aimed to equip thirty (30) selected NHA beneficiaries from Bacungan Pabahay, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur with essential knowledge on disasters and how to effectively respond to both human-made and natural calamities.
PAG-ASA presented climate and hydrometeorological hazards, forecasting and warnings, and the Community-Based Flood Early Warning System.
The Office of Civil Defense also presented the salient features of RA 10121 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) discussed about Fire Prevention and Information Education Campaigns and earthquake preparedness.
Additionally, the Magsaysay MDRRMO provided lectures on Family Preparedness, Local High-Risk Areas and Mitigation Plans, as well as conducted Flood and Landslide Simulation Exercise Drills.
Beneficiaries actively participated in workshop activity-the preparation of their DRRM and CCAM Response and Preparedness Plans.
As part of the training, beneficiaries were provided with emergency kits containing essential supplies to support their preparedness and response during emergencies or calamities.

The National Housing Authority XI- Davao City/Digos City/Island Garden Samal/Davao del Sur/Davao del Norte District Office conducted Gender and Development (GAD) Activity on Serbisyo Para Kay Juana “Kitang Pangkabuhayan” Powder Detergent Soap Making to the beneficiaries of Dawis Seaside HOA, Inc.
Engr. Shariffudin I. Nami, OIC-Regional Manager of NHA XI gave an inspirational message to the participants.
The Resource Person of the said activity was Ms. Joey L. Sumagang, a beneficiary of Green Prairie HOA, Inc. who also participated in last year’s training on Powder Detergent Soap Making. Through the training she attended, she was able to venture in powder detergent soap business and she’s now a trainer herself.

UPDATE | Public Consultation and Social Awareness in Kapalong, Davao del Norte
LOOK: On November 10, 2025 (Monday), the NHA XI-Davao City/Digos City/Island Garden City of Samal/Davao del Sur/Davao del Norte District Office, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kapalong, Davao del Norte, conducted a Public Consultation and Social Awareness at Sitio Tumana, Brgy. Pag-asa, Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
The said activity was attended by sixty-seven (67) target beneficiaries, who were oriented on the proposed Shear Line Housing Project which will be funded by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) that aims to provide housing for families affected by the Shear Line calamity in 2024.
This activity was conducted to ensure that the beneficiaries are informed and prepared for the implementation of the housing project.

LOOK: On November 05, 2025 (Wednesday), the NHA XI – Davao City/Digos City/Is. Garden Samal/Davao del Sur/Davao del Norte District Office, in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Carmen, Davao del Norte, conducted a Public Consultation and Social Awareness activity for families affected by the Shear Line calamity.
During the activity, the target beneficiaries were oriented on the Proposed Shear Line Housing Project, which will be funded by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
This activity aims to ensure community awareness, and readiness in the implementation of the housing project for the affected families.
