During the visit, the pair proudly shared their achievements, including gold medal finishes and top placements in both international and national categories, bringing pride and honor to Davao City through their outstanding performances.

The Free Judo and Kurash Clinic under the Aktibo Dabawenyo Program is entering its final stretch with only three training sessions remaining for participating young athletes in Davao City.
Since opening on April 9 at Barangay Mintal Gymnasium for Judo and on April 10 at Barangay Daliao for Kurash, the grassroots combat sports clinics have been providing free training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Participants have been actively learning the fundamentals of judo and kurash while developing discipline, focus, technique, and sportsmanship through structured coaching and regular training activities.
As the program nears its conclusion, athletes continue to make the most of the remaining sessions to further improve their skills and gain valuable experience in both combat sports. The initiative, implemented through the Aktibo Dabawenyo Program, continues to strengthen grassroots sports development and support the growth of future judo and kurash athletes in the community.

The Free Kayak, Paddleboarding, and Dragon Boat Clinic under the Aktibo Dabawenyo Program is now down to its final four sessions as participants continue their grassroots water sports training in Davao City.
Since its launch on April 18, 2026, aspiring athletes have been training every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 AM at Kalayaan Beach Resort, Barangay Daliao. The program focuses on developing endurance, balance, coordination, and teamwork while introducing young athletes to the fundamentals of paddle sports.
As the clinic enters its remaining sessions, participants continue to gain valuable experience and strengthen their skills in kayaking, paddleboarding, and dragon boat racing under the guidance of their coaches and facilitators.

Ashley Rose E. Reniedo, a proud Davao City athlete and representative of Far Eastern University, formally paid a courtesy call to the Davao City Sports Development Division following her recent achievements in national and international Taekwondo competitions.
Reniedo earned a Bronze Medal during the UAAP Season 88 Taekwondo Competition held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium last April 21-24, 2026. She also brought pride to the country after winning a Silver Medal in the 8th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship in Pattaya, Thailand, last August 9-10, 2025. The courtesy call served as an opportunity for the athlete to personally present her accomplishments and express gratitude for the continued support extended to local athletes representing Davao City in various competitions.
Her achievements continue to inspire aspiring athletes in the community, highlighting the value of discipline, perseverance, and dedication in sports.

The Sta. Ana Dancesport Team Davao paid a courtesy call to the Davao City Sports Development Division Office following their successful campaign in recent national and international dancesport competitions.
The team was recognized for its outstanding achievements in the WDSF International Open Philippine Superstars Open Dancesport Festival in Manila, the Bailando Open Championship 2026 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and the El Tigre V Dancesport Championship at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
During the visit, the Davao City Sports Development Division commended the athletes for bringing pride and honor to Davao City through their dedication, discipline, and exceptional performances on both local and international stages. The courtesy call also highlighted the City Governmentβs continued commitment to supporting and developing Dabawenyo athletes in their pursuit of excellence in sports.

Please be informed that all submitted entry forms are subject for assessment and evaluation based on the details, qualifications, and credentials provided. From these submitted forms, athletes will be selected and endorsed accordingly based on the credentials presented.

The FINAL schedule and venue assignments for the BIMP-EAGA and Batang Pinoy 2026 Tryouts are now officially released.
NOTE: REGISTRATION IS FREE! No amount shall be collected from all registered participants for the Batang Pinoy and BIMP 2026 Tryouts. Participants and parents are advised to report immediately any unauthorized collection of fees related to the tryouts.
All participants, parents, coaches, and team managers are advised to carefully check the assigned schedules, venues, and event details for their respective sports.

To ensure that all participants are properly accommodated, we are now accepting online registration for all participants aged 8β11 years old. This is a precautionary safety measure in case the official announcement from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) confirms that the age categories will be limited to 8β15 years old only.
All participants aged 8β11 years old shall be allowed to register for the tryouts, considering that the registration period for the 12β17 years old category has already been completed.

Young athletes across Davao City are actively participating in the ongoing Barangay Free Futsal Clinic, a grassroots sports development initiative that continues to run.
Running from April 13 to May 29, 2026, the clinic is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, bringing futsal training directly to participating barangays in Districts 1, 2, and 3. Sessions are ongoing in Barangay Catalunan Grande at Catalunan Grande Elementary School and Barangay Talomo (Proper) at Phase 2 NHA Bangkal Covered Court,while in District 2, the training continues in Barangay Buhangin (Proper) at Sto. Rosario Court and Barangay Indangan at Barangay Indangan Gymnasium, and District 3 remains active in Barangay Calinan (Proper) at Barangay Calinan (Proper) Gymnasium and Barangay Mintal at Barangay Mintal Gymnasium. Boys and girls aged 10 to 14 years old are sharpening their skills, learning the fundamentals of the game, and building discipline and teamwork through regular training sessions. The Aktibo Dabawenyo Program and the Sports Development Office partner to offer the clinic, empowering young Dabawenyos to explore sports and unlock their potential through community-based football training.
Registration and participation remain open, and interested youth are still welcome to join the ongoing sessions in their respective barangays. The courts are active, training continues, and the search for the next generation of futsal talents is still on.
