Due to heavy rainfall experienced in some parts of Panabo City—particularly in areas that serve as tributaries to the 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫—the said river system, specifically along Barangay Bunawan Proper, is now monitored at 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 (𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥) and increasing.

With these, the BDRRMCs of San Isidro, Lasang, and Bunawan Proper are advised to alert their communities, closely monitor riverbanks, and provide regular updates to the CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base regarding any changes in the situation.

20 May 2025 - 912nd MCR conducted evacuation to 7 families in Purok Virgo and 2 families in Purok Aries due to overflow along Fatima River. Children and women were evacuated in the higher ground ( National Highway).

At 0820H, Lasang national highway is now passable.

BARANGAY LASANG actively participated in the 3rd Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, 26 September 2024 at exactly 9:00AM.

The drill aims to impart knowledge about proper disaster preparedness.

The DOST-PHIVOLCS issued its TSUNAMI INFORMATION NO.1 indicating that people in the coastal areas of the 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚 are STRONGLY ADVISED TO IMMEDIATELY EVACUATE to higher grounds or move farther inland.
It is forecasted that the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟬𝟴:𝟯𝟯 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟯 𝗔𝗠, 𝟬𝟯 𝗔𝗽𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 (𝗣𝗦𝗧). These waves may continue for hours.

However, BDRRMCs and Disaster Volunteer Groups are advised to closely monitor their coastal areas, prohibit swimming activities, and feedback for any changes in the situations.

Likewise, the general public are advised to address the situations accordingly.

Based on tsunami wave models and early tide gauge records of the tsunami in the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, coastal areas in the Philippines fronting the Pacific Ocean are expected to experience high tsunami waves. It is forecasted that the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟬𝟴:𝟯𝟯 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟯 𝗔𝗠, 𝟬𝟯 𝗔𝗽𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 (𝗣𝗦𝗧). It may not be the largest and these waves may continue for hours.

The reservist personnel from 912nd Marine Company Reserve mobilized its Disaster Response and Rescue Team (DRRT) on 31 January 2024 to assist the evacuation efforts of City Social Service and Development Office (CSSDO) at Licanan, Lasang Davao City.
