The Department of Educationโs (DepEd) Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Summer Program 2026 is currently being conducted to help learners improve their foundational skills before the opening of the next school year. The remediation and tutorial program runs from May 6 to June 3, 2026.
The program primarily focuses on assisting students who need support in reading. At Mabini National High School, around 92 students were expected to participate. However, only 23 learners were able to attend the said program.
According to the teachers handling the ARAL Program, one of the challenges encountered was reaching students who do not have access to social media platforms or mobile phones. Despite the low number of participants, teachers continue to extend their efforts in helping students enhance their reading skills through various activities such as activity sheets, picture analysis, and other engaging learning exercises.
The ARAL Program aims to provide struggling learners with the opportunity to strengthen their reading abilities and become more prepared for the upcoming school year. Through the dedication of teachers and the support of DepEd, the program continues to serve as an important initiative in addressing learning gaps among students.
