The City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) collected a total of P 2,243,099,848.78 from business taxes and regulatory fees during the recently concluded business permit renewal and application one-stop-shop last January 2026. This is 8.14 percent higher than last year’s collection of P 2,074,224,684.62.

Atty. Lawrence Bantiding, City Treasurer, said, in an interview with the City Information Office, that the increase in the collection from business taxes, as well as the number of permit applications, is a testament that businesses in the city are thriving and are generally doing well.

“With the increase in collection from business taxes, it can be inferred that businesses in Davao City are thriving and are generally doing well. The number of permit applications also shows that more establishments are choosing to conduct business in Davao City,” he said.

“Through the one-stop-shop, we are able to monitor our progress and assess whether we are on track to achieve the city’s annual target. Although full collections have not yet been realized—considering that taxpayers are permitted to settle their obligations through quarterly installments—we remain confident that the target will be attained,” Bantiding added.

The CTO is also reminding Dabawenyos to pay their real property taxes either in full or in four equal installments. Taxpayers who pay in full on or before March 31, 2026 will be given a 20 percent discount, and a 10 percent discount will be granted to taxpayers who pay on or before the quarterly due date for installments.
