MIADP-PSO, RPCOs fast-track Project progress

The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) โ€“ Project Support Office (PSO) convened with the Regional Project Coordination Offices (RPCOs) during a virtual coordination meeting held via Zoom on May 20, 2026, to discuss updates and priority actions on ongoing subproject implementation across regions.

The meeting served as a platform for the PSO and RPCOs to assess the current status of infrastructure and enterprise subprojects, identify operational concerns, and strengthen coordination efforts to ensure the timely implementation and delivery of project targets.

In his opening message, MIADP-PSO Project Director Macario D. Gonzaga underscored the importance of collaboration and immediate action among implementing teams, especially in addressing operational bottlenecks and commitments raised during the 5th Implementation Support Mission (ISM).

โ€œTodayโ€™s meeting is an important venue for us to openly discuss the current status of implementation across regions, identify operational bottlenecks, and agree on concrete actions moving forward. We also recognize that the agreed actions raised during the 5th Implementation Support Mission, or ISM, are being closely monitored by the World Bank Task Team. Because of this, we must ensure that commitments made are translated into actual accomplishments on the ground,โ€ PD Gonzaga stated.

He further emphasized that discussions on subproject implementation, finance, procurement, and administrative concerns are crucial in ensuring that all offices remain aligned and responsive as one MIADP team.

โ€œCoordination is very important, especially since many of the issues we encounter require immediate action and collective problem-solving from both the PSO and RPCOs,โ€ he added.

As of April 2026, MIADP has recorded 39 approved subprojects, with 14 ongoing implementations amounting to Php 743.46 million. Under Component 2, Infrastructure Development, 23 approved subprojects totaling Php 1.18 billion are currently in progress. Meanwhile, Component 3, Enterprise Development, has 16 approved subprojects amounting to Php 101.65 million, with one subproject already under full implementation.

The meeting also highlighted the ongoing implementation of the intensive LPMIU Campaign dubbed โ€œOplan: Subproject Generationโ€ (Oplan SPG), which aims to fast-track subproject generation activities in identified areas, including Pigcawayan, Malitbog, and Davao de Oro. Reports showed that 51 subprojects have already been submitted for the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) by 2026.

Updates were likewise presented regarding procurement status, disbursement targets, and overdue actions under STEP monitoring, particularly involving the Magpet, Tamurayan, and Gupitan Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) subprojects.
