Today, we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This apparition became an influential driving force for the spread of Christianity in Mexico. She is also considered as "The Celestial Patroness of the Philippine Islands," making her the secondary patroness of the Philippines.

The Knights of Columbus deeply revere this title of the Blessed Mother as it aligns with their aim: to promote the dignity and sanctity of human life. This is, so far, the only apparition that shows the Blessed Mother as pregnant, asserting that God values life in all aspects, especially in the womb. It is also a clear protest against the child sacrifices being made by the pagans in the area.

May we call upon La Guadalupana's intercession for the value of life to be deeply respected, revived, and instilled in the minds of everybody. May she also intercede for the Knights of Columbus, and especially the Columbian Squires.
