•🧯 Huwag iwanang nakabukas ang kalan habang nagluluto.
•🧹 Ilayo ang basahan, papel, at madaling masunog sa kalan.
•🍳 Kapag nasunog ang mantika, huwag buhusan ng tubig!
• 🍲Takpan ang kawali para mapatay ang apoy.
•🔌 Patayin at i-unplug ang appliances kapag hindi ginagamit.
•🧯 Magkaroon ng fire extinguisher na madaling maabot sa kusina.
•👀 Laging bantayan ang niluluto, lalo na kapag nagpiprito.
•🚨 Kapag hindi makontrol ang apoy, lumabas agad at tumawag sa BFP.

Guided by the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director, BFP Region 11, and under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗗 𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡, District Fire Marshal, Davao City Fire District, The Bajada Fire Station personnel conducted standby and support during the "FTRC Final Coaching" at University of Southeastern of the Philippines Gymnasium.

This action was conducted to ensure the safety and security of participants, coaches, and personnel throughout the activity. It aimed to maintain emergency preparedness, provide immediate fire and medical response when necessary, and ensure prompt intervention in case of any untoward incident.

The activity also strengthened coordination and communication among responding personnel and event organizers, ensuring that appropriate emergency response measures were readily available throughout the conduct of the final coaching.

Ana Avenue, Davao City, in line with their “75th HCDC Fiesta Celebration 2026.”

The activity focused on identifying potential fire hazards, assessing safety risks, and ensuring the establishment’s preparedness and compliance with appropriate fire safety measures throughout the celebration. Personnel also monitored the event area to promote a safe and orderly environment and to ensure readiness for any emergency that may arise.

Guided by the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director, BFP Region 11, and under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗗 𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡, District Fire Marshal, Davao City Fire District, Bajada Fire Station personnel conducted fire evacuation drill at Davao Christian High School.

The activity focused on the proper ex*****on of evacuation procedures, identification of designated exit routes and assembly areas, orderly movement of occupants, and effective coordination during emergency situations. The drill also emphasized the importance of staying calm, following established safety protocols, and responding promptly to fire alarms.

Through continuous fire safety education and practical drills, Bajada Fire Station remains committed to promoting a culture of preparedness and ensuring safer school communities.

The refresher activity covered the fundamental principles and proper procedures in firefighting, including fire behavior and fireground safety, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire hose handling and deployment, nozzle operations, water supply, fire attack techniques, and proper coordination among responding personnel.

Through continuous training and hands-on practice, personnel are better equipped to respond swiftly, safely, and effectively to fire emergencies, ensuring the protection of lives and properties.

The activity aimed to refresh and enhance the personnel's knowledge and practical skills in applying different types of bandages, including proper wound coverage, securing of dressings, and appropriate bandaging techniques for various injuries. It also emphasized the importance of proper bandaging in controlling bleeding, protecting wounds from contamination, reducing the risk of further injury, and providing immediate and effective first aid during emergency and rescue operations.

Through continuous skills enhancement and refresher activities, personnel are better equipped to provide prompt, safe, and effective emergency medical assistance to victims while awaiting further medical intervention.

Ang kaligtasan sa grass fire ay nagsisimula sa pag-iwas: huwag magsunog ng basura o tuyong damo (kaingin) lalo na kung mainit at mahangin ang panahon. Ang tuyong damuhan ay mabilis magliyab at madaling kumalat ang apoy kaya mahalagang maging alerto.

Narito ang mga mahahalagang tips para maiwasan at mapaghandaan ang grass fire o wildfire:

🚫 Mga Dapat Iwasan (Prevention)
• Huwag magkaingin o magsigang: Iwasan ang pagsusunog ng mga natitirang damo o basura sa bakanteng lote.
• Huwag magtapon ng upos ng sigarilyo: Siguraduhing patay ang sigarilyo bago itapon, at huwag itong ihagis sa tabi ng daan na may mga tuyong damo.
• Huwag mag-iwan ng apoy: Kung nag-ihaw o nagluto sa labas, siguraduhing patay na patay ang uling o abo gamit ang tubig bago iwanan.
• Itago ang posporo at lighter: Ilayo ito sa mga bata upang maiwasan ang aksidenteng paglalaro ng apoy.

🚨 Kung May Sunog Na (Emergency Response)
• Tumawag agad sa BFP: I-report kaagad sa pinakamalapit na istasyon ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) o sa inyong Barangay kung may nakitang usok o nagsisimulang apoy.
• Lumikas nang maaga: Kung papalapit ang grass fire sa inyong bahay, unahing ilikas ang pamilya (lalo na ang mga bata at matatanda) patungo sa ligtas na lugar.
• Mag-ingat sa usok: Takpan ang ilong at bibig ng basang tela upang hindi makalanghap ng makapal na usok mula sa nasusunog na damo.
