May 20, 2026, New City Hall, Tagum, Davao del Norte, — The Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Tagum conducted the Advocate and Knowledge Officers (AKO) Training for presidents of accredited homeowners associations under the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP).

The training aimed to equip community leaders with knowledge about PhilHealth programs, benefits, and services, enabling them to serve as advocates in their communities.

Attended by PCUP Region XI Supervising Area Coordinator Joseph Isaiah S. Trinidad, the training highlighted the strong partnership between PhilHealth and PCUP in promoting accessible healthcare information and advancing Universal Health Care for marginalized sectors.

MALITA, Davao Occidental — Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Digos conducted the Advocate Knowledge Officer (AKO) Training for Davao Occidental Information Officers on May 21. This activity aimed to equip the province's communication frontliners with knowledge and skills needed to become PhilHealth champions.

Throughout the session, participants were thoroughly briefed on the latest updates on membership and contribution, as well as expanded benefit packages. This activity focused heavily on empowering Info Officers to become the bridge between the agency and the community, ensuring that timely, accurate PhilHealth information reaches even the most remote areas of Davao Occidental.
By transforming these communicators into certified Advocate Knowledge Officers, PhilHealth aims to foster a more proactive, informed, and health-literate community.
