DUHA NASAKPAN SA BUY-BUST OPERATION SA CALINAN

Davao City — Duha ka mga indibidwal ang nadakpan sa gihimong buy-bust operation sa mga personahe sa PS 10-Calinan Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) nga gipangulohan ni PMAJ ROBEL BATAPA SAAVEDRA, Station Commander, dakbayan sa Davao, kagabii Oktubre 16, 2025, alas 9:44 sa gabii sa Barangay Lacson, Calinan District.
Ang operasyon mitungha sa pagkadakop ni Alias “BRAD”, 25 anyos, lalaki, single, helper, residente sa Brgy. Salaysay, Marilog District, ug usa ka 27 anyos, babaye, single, vendor, residente sa Brgy. Ilang, Bunawan District.

Nasakpan silang duha human mabaligya og usa ka rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet nga adunay puti nga kristalino nga substansiya nga giingong shabu nga gitimbangan og 5.03 gramos ngadto sa poseur buyer, gamit ang Php 500.00 nga tinuod nga kwarta ug mga boodle money isip buy-bust money.
Gikumpiska usab gikan sa mga suspetsado ang marked money, Php 200.00 personal nga kwarta, ug usa ka Realme touchscreen cellphone nga kolor sky blue. Ang gibanabana nga kantidad sa nakumpiskar nga shabu kay Php 34,204.00 sumala sa standard drug price.

Kasong paglapas sa Section 5, kauban ang Section 26 sa Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) ang giandam aron isaka batok sa mga suspetsado.

Personnel of this station, under the supervision of PMAJ ROBEL BATAPA SAAVEDRA, Station Commander, on October 13, 2025 personnel from this station conducted a recorida on disaster preparedness focusing on earthquake safety tips at the Calinan Public Market, Calinan District, Davao City.
The activity aimed to inform and remind the public on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake to ensure safety and readiness.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has activated full emergency protocols following the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Manay, Davao Oriental on October 10, 2025, at 9:43 AM. A total of 344 personnel, including 290 from the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF), have been deployed across Davao City to ensure public safety and support disaster response

Operations Update: A total of 114 evacuation centers have been opened to accommodate affected residents. Four SRR operations were conducted, resulting in the rescue and assistance of several individuals. There was one reported civilian fatality, 26 civilians injured (all later discharged after treatment), and one PNP personnel injured. Initial assessments also recorded 33 damaged establishments across the city.

DCPO has implemented “Oplan Eye in the Sky” (aerial monitoring), “Oplan Libreng Sakay” (free transport), and “Oplan Kalsada” (road clearing). The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is fully activated for coordination and rapid response.

DCPO remains on heightened alert, continuously monitoring and validating the situation to ensure public safety and security. RSSF personnel from both headquarters and stations have been mobilized to provide rapid response and assist in disaster operations. The DCPO is working closely with the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and other concerned agencies for ongoing response and recovery efforts.

CALINAN — Continuing its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, personnel of PS10-Calinan Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) spearheaded by PMAJ ROBEL BATAPA SAAVEDRA, Station Commander, conducted a successful buy-bust operation at around 11:19 AM on October 10, 2025, at Brgy. Riverside, Calinan, Davao City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects identified as Alias “Boss,” a resident of Calinan Poblacion, and his accomplice a resident of Brgy. Tamayong, Calinan District, Davao City.

The suspects were apprehended after selling one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 5.21 gram, to a poseur-buyer. Seized from their possession were the buy-bust money, one white Apple iPhone, one ₱100 bill, and one blue RUSI 125 motorcycle used in the transaction.
A case for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared for filing against the suspects.

PNP STATEMENT ON DISINFORMATION AIMED AT DISCREDITING PNP LEADERSHIP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) categorically denies the circulating Facebook post falsely claiming that PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Acting Chief of the PNP, urged police, military, and other uniformed personnel to disobey lawful orders of the President of the Philippines. These statements are fabricated and malicious, intended to spread confusion and discredit our institution.

The PNP remains steadfast in its allegiance to the Constitution, committed to following lawful orders from our Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., and other duly constituted authorities, while upholding the highest standards of integrity, discipline, and professionalism in all our operations. Our loyalty is to the Filipino people and to the rule of law.

Authorities are currently investigating the source of this disinformation, and the PNP will pursue appropriate legal action against those responsible for spreading falsehoods.

We call on the public to exercise vigilance, verify information through official PNP channels, and refrain from sharing unverified content that may mislead others or undermine public trust.

The PNP continues to serve the Filipino people with honor, dedication, and accountability, while standing firm against attempts to misinform and destabilize the credibility of our law enforcement institutions.

Sikop ang usa ka lalaki, 38 anyos ug lumulopyo sa Brgy. Tagpore, Panabo City sa gikasa na Buy Bust Operation PS 10-Calinan Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) sa pagpangulo ni PMAJ ROBEL BATAPA SAAVEDRA, Station Commander karung adlawa Oktobre 4, 2025, sa alas 9:11 sa gabii. Ang suspetsado nga si alias “BAI”, nasikop human makigtransaksyon ug mibaligya kini sa gituohang shabu ngadto sa poseur buyer sa Purok 25, Brgy. Calinan Poblacion, Calinan, Davao City.

Gipasakahan na kini sa kalapasan sa Section 5 ug 11 sa RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) ug anaa na kin isa kustudiya sa mga Kapulisan.
