World Hijab Day 🧕

Today, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Barangay 23-C, Poblacion District, Davao City proudly joins the global celebration of World Hijab Day, pursuant to Senate Bill No. 1272, also known as the proposed National Hijab Day Act.

In line with this meaningful observance, Barangay 23-C marks a historic milestone as the FIRST BARANGAY in Davao City to celebrate and conduct World Hijab Day, promoting awareness, respect, religious freedom, cultural understanding, and women empowerment within the community.

Through this initiative, the Barangay Council of Barangay 23-C headed by Punong Barangay Johaina Dimalna Usman reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and unity among all constituents

𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

In celebration of the 51st Nutrition Month, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 23-C brought together various sectoral groups and youth organizations in a collaborative effort to strengthen the advocacy for a healthier, well-nourished community.

This year’s celebration carried the theme: “Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!” — a call for accessible, nutritious food for every Filipino.

Highlights of the event included cooking shows, a makeshift market, and a collage-making activity — all creative ways to express the community’s full support for the campaign toward better nutrition.

The SK of Barangay 23-C extends heartfelt thanks to all the creative and passionate individuals who made this celebration a success. Your participation reflects our united stand for a healthier future!

𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 23-C, in partnership with D’Dayaw, successfully organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training for the members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK).

This initiative aimed to equip young individuals with essential life-saving skills, emergency response techniques, and practical knowledge in handling critical situations.

Beyond training, it highlighted the growing involvement of the youth in disaster preparedness, health awareness, and community resilience.

With initiatives like this, we strengthen not only our capacity to respond — but also our commitment to shaping a proactive, empowered, and safety-conscious generation.
