General information
The MIPCPD was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on January 9, 2008 and was certified by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) Region XI and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XI, as partner IP Organization in Peace Unity and Development.
• Vision
An empowered indigenous peoples in Mindanao, recognizing its tri-people character, secured in their indigenous peoples rights as prescribed by their culture, by the law and international policy of human security and collectively developing and preserving their ancestral domain and communities to attain peace and development and participate in nation building.
• Mission
To unite the IPs in Mindanao as a vehicle for social, political and cultural transformation towards the attainment of our goals and aspirations as provided under existing laws.
To strengthen a unify and consolidate Indigenous Peoples voice Mindanao that will ascertain the significance and participation in nation building through partnership with other stakeholders in the development and protection of the ancestral domains.
• Goal
o Serve as INITIATOR, CATALYST, VEHICLE, FACILITATOR and NETWORKER of the Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao.
o INITIATE discussions, movements and policies that will push the interests and rights of the indigenous peoples.
o Serve as CATALYST for IP tribes and Indigenous Cultural Communities to empower themselves.
o Serve as VEHICLE to advance the different programs and concerns of the IP’s in Mindanao and bringing it to the attention of the national government.
o FACILITATE partnership among and between IP’s and other stakeholders.
o Serve as NETWORKER on both lateral and horizontal approaches with other stakeholders in government, private, local and international institutions.
