In an order dated April 21, 2026, the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City convicted a 27-year-old man, alias "Cervo", for violation of Section 5(d) of RA No. 12010 [Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA)] and sentenced him to suffer the penalty of imprisonment of four (4) years as minimum to four (4) years and six (6) months as maximum.
"Cervo" was arrested on June 3, 2025, through an entrapment operation conducted by the Baguio City Cyber Response Team for the illegal online sale of a financial account through an automated teller machine card.
This operation supports the directive of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), to ensure that anti-cybercrime laws are fully implemented and violators are promptly penalized.

"Leo" is facing charges for violation of Section 4(c)(4) (Libel) of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), with bail set at Php10,000.00.

"Harry" is facing charges for violation of Section 33(a) of RA No. 9484 (Philippine Dental Act of 2007), in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

โMang Oliโ is facing charges for three counts of violation of Statutory R**e and Section 4 of RA No. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act of 2022), wherein no recommended bail was imposed for both cases.
