READ: Former President Rodrigo Duterte issued a strong statement rejecting the authority of the International Criminal Court over his case, insisting that the tribunal has no jurisdiction over him.
Duterte said he was “forcibly pushed into a jet” and brought to The Hague, Netherlands, claiming the move violated the Philippine Constitution and national sovereignty. He further alleged that the transfer was facilitated by the office of the incumbent Philippine President through a specially chartered aircraft.
The former chief executive also denied allegations that he oversaw a policy of extrajudicial killings during his administration, describing the accusations as “an outrageous lie.” He claimed the charges have long been advanced by political opponents and are based on witnesses whose credibility, he said, has already been discredited.

Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod Party (HTLP) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the people of Davao City for their overwhelming trust and resounding support in the May 2025 National and Local Elections. The landslide victory of all HTL candidates—across the positions of mayor, vice mayor, all three congressional districts, and all city council seats—marks a strong and united affirmation of the leadership and service that our movement has long stood for.
This sweeping mandate is not simply a win for HTL—it is a triumph of genuine public service, principled leadership, and grassroots governance. It is a declaration by the Davaoeño people that they continue to believe in a leadership that listens, acts, and delivers.
We especially thank the people of Davao City for standing firm and showing courage in the face of coordinated disinformation, resource-driven coercion, and brazen attempts to manipulate the electoral process. The people’s voice rang louder than deceit, and their votes carried the weight of dignity and truth.
We are proud of our winning slate, led by Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, together with Congressman Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, Omar Duterte, Isidro Ungab, and all our city councilors, who embody the ideals of servant-leadership rooted in the legacy of principled governance and genuine public service.
HTLP remains committed to its mission: to serve with integrity, to govern with compassion, and to build a Davao City where progress is shared, and leadership remains close to the people. As we move forward, we vow to deepen public participation, uplift communities, and protect the gains we have achieved together.
To our volunteers, supporters, and every Davaoeño who voted, stood watch, and spoke truth—we share this victory with you.
Padayon ta sa serbisyo. Padayon ta sa tinuod nga pagpanerbisyo.
Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa.
Mabuhay ang Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod!
