#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao conducted its regular Monthly Coordination Meeting with the Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) Davao Chapter to discuss key operational and policy concerns affecting customs
processes and stakeholder transactions.

The meeting, presided by Deputy Collector for Assessment Mark Ian C. Quiñones, served as a platform to discuss the three-year accreditation of customs brokers, export air freight concerns and other assessment-related matters. The discussions provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange insights and identify measures aimed at improving trade facilitation and service delivery.

Guided by Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and under the leadership of District Collector Maita S. Acevedo, the Port of Davao remains committed in fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders through continuous dialogue and collaborative problem-solving in support of efficient customs operations.

#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao conducted a meeting with representatives from BASF Philippines Inc. and Royal Cargo – Davao to clarify prevailing importation procedures.

The meeting centered on understanding the step-by-step import processing workflow, including documentary requirements, examination protocols and releasing procedures. Concerns raised by the stakeholders were addressed during the discussion to ensure a common and accurate interpretation of existing guidelines.

Under the guidance of Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and the leadership of District Collector Maita S. Acevedo, the Port remains committed in promoting transparency, enhancing stakeholder engagement and ensuring the efficient and lawful processing of importations.

#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | The Bureau of Customs – Collection District XII Assessment Division will continue its operation on 30 and 31 May 2026 to ensure uninterrupted frontline service.

This initiative reflects the dedication and collective commitment of the men and women of the Port in order to ensure the continuous processing, assessment and trade facilitation.

Under the leadership of District Collector Maita S. Acevedo and with the guidance of Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, the Port of Davao remains steadfast in its commitment in strengthening revenue generation, facilitating legitimate trade and delivering responsive public service.

| The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao, through a virtual meeting via Zoom, convened representatives from the Bureau of Plant Industry – Plant Quarantine Service (BPI-PQS), Department of Agriculture Inspectorate, Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) to discuss matters relating to the conduct of Second Border Examination for regulated agricultural shipments.

The discussion focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, streamlining inspection procedures and clarifying the roles and responsibilities of concerned agencies in ensuring the efficient and proper examination of imported goods while maintaining compliance with existing laws, rules and regulations.

Guided by Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and under the leadership of District Collector Maita S. Acevedo, the Port of Davao continues to foster strong collaboration with partner government agencies in support of secure and efficient trade facilitation.

#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘 / 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 as of May 26, 2026

Pursuant to Sections 407 and 1129 of RA 10863 - Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), the Port of Davao hereby informs the following consignees/owner/importer that failure to lodge / file goods declaration within fifteen (15) days from the date of discharge of the last package results in the goods being impliedly abandoned.

| In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Bureau of Customs – Collection District XII conducted a friendly pickleball competition entitled “Moms in Motion: A Mother’s Day Pickleball Celebration” on 09 May 2026.

The activity gathered BOC personnel, the majority of whom are mothers, in a fun and engaging sporting event aimed at promoting camaraderie, wellness, and work-life balance among employees.

District Collector Maita S. Acevedo emphasized that the activity served as an engaging activity for mothers while supporting the Office’s Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives that promote women empowerment and employee well-being.

| The Bureau of Customs – Collection District XII celebrated Mother’s Day in recognition of the invaluable contributions to public service of all mothers in the Port.

District Collector Maita S. Acevedo, who stands as the Mother of the Port, likewise received a token in recognition of her leadership and commitment in addressing the needs of stakeholders through quality public service.

This initiative forms part of the Bureau’s continuing Gender and Development (GAD) programs aimed at upholding gender equality, women empowerment, and the recognition of women’s vital role in nation-building and public service.

#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | NOTICE TO CLAIM BAGGAGE as of May 11, 2026

Pursuant to Section 1129 of RA 10863 - Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) and Customs Administrative Order 17-2019, the Port of Davao hereby informs the following passengers that failure to claim the goods within thirty (30) calendar days from payment of the assessed duties, taxes and
other charges results in the goods being impliedly abandoned.

#𝐁𝐎𝐂𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao proudly reports its collection performance for April 2026, in the amount of ₱5,033,929,876.78 against its emerging target of ₱3,343,437,107.77, resulting in a surplus of ₱1,690,492,769.01 or 50.56%.

This significant accomplishment reflects the District’s unwavering commitment to efficient revenue collection, strengthened border protection and seamless trade facilitation. It likewise highlights the dedication, professionalism and collective efforts of the men and women of the Port of Davao, together with the continued support and cooperation of stakeholders in advancing the Bureau’s mandate and contributing to national economic growth.

With Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno providing overall policy direction and District Collector Maita S.
