These majestic birds need forests to survive and take up to seven years to mature. Even then, they only lay one egg every two years.Their survival is our responsibility.This Philippine Eagle Week, I call on every Filipino to become guardians of these magnificent birds by protecting our forests, planting native trees, and speaking out against habitat destruction.The Office of the Vice President's Pagbabago: A Million Trees campaign works to regenerate forests across our islands, creating safe havens for wildlife that depend on these ecosystems.What we save today flies free tomorrow. Our children deserve to witness Philippine Eagles soaring in our skies.
