DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Following the powerful earthquakes that recently struck the region, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. XI (MGB XI) has officially activated its Operation Center.

Under the direct guidance of Regional Director Beverly Mae M. Brebante, MGB XI promptly delegated composite teams—comprising Geologists, Mining Engineers, and geodetic engineers—for possible inspections of mining tenements and landslide-prone areas.

This rapid mobilization highlights MGB XI’s dedication to proactive disaster mitigation and rigorous geohazard assessment, all aimed at protecting lives, securing infrastructure, and reinforcing the resilience of the Davao Region during natural disasters.

Following the recent earthquake experienced in Davao City and the subsequent directive from the City Government suspending classes and government work, all office operations are suspended today.
