We are pleased to announce that regular face-to-face classes will resume on Monday, October 20, 2025, following thorough safety assessments and consultations with local authorities. The previously implemented modular, asynchronous, or blended learning modalities, enacted on October 15, 2025, are hereby lifted.
The safety and stability of our community remain our top priority. After careful evaluation of structural integrity, utility restoration, and seismic activity reports, we confirm that schools are safe for the return of all learners and personnel.
Teaching and non-teaching personnel are required to report onsite beginning October 20, 2025, to resume regular operations. Teachers are directed to facilitate a smooth transition back to in-person learning, address any gaps from the interim period, and ensure all learners receive necessary academic support.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone for your resilience, cooperation, and adaptability during this challenging time. Let us continue to prioritize safety by adhering to emergency protocols, staying informed through official channels, and supporting one another as we reconnect in our classrooms.
Together, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a secure and nurturing environment where quality education thrives.
Stay vigilant. Stay safe. Together, we move forward.

On October 3, 2025, Don Enrique Bustamante National High School celebrated the School-Based World Teachersโ Day to honor and express heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated educators whose passion and commitment continue to inspire our learners.
The celebration began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass, offering prayers of gratitude for the gift of teaching and for the continued strength and guidance of all teaching and non-teaching personnel. The event became even more meaningful with the presence of Hon. Rigo Duterte, Acting Vice Mayor of Davao City, who graced the occasion and shared words of appreciation and encouragement. His message highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping not only young minds but also the future of our nation.
Adding joy and excitement to the day were the fun games and the much-awaited Teacherโs Got Talent, which fostered camaraderie and laughter among teachers and staff. The program also gave special recognition to our student teachers. The celebration culminated in a warm fellowship lunch, strengthening unity and togetherness within the DEBNHS family.
Special thanks to the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) for organizing this meaningful celebration for our teachers; to Barangay Bago Gallera, headed by Hon. Rey P. Gervacio, for providing free massage and haircut services; to Team Militar for the delicious arroz caldo; and to our ever-supportive PTA officers for the thoughtful tokens of appreciation.
