DARCES IN COLLEGIAL REVIEW

Researchers from the Davao Region Central Experiment Station (DARCES) recently participated in this year’s Collegial Review, where they presented their proposed research studies for evaluation and refinement.

The activity served as a platform for researchers to share ideas, receive constructive feedback, and strengthen their proposals through collaboration with peers and experts. This process ensures that upcoming research initiatives are relevant, science-based, and responsive to the needs of the agriculture sector.

Through this initiative, DARCES continues to nurture innovative research and reinforce its commitment to developing impactful and sustainable agricultural solutions.

DARCES recently concluded the on-the-job training of ten (10) students from Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc., who completed a total of 240 hours of hands-on agricultural learning.

This milestone reflects DARCES’ continued commitment as a learning hub, regularly hosting trainees from various colleges and universities to nurture skilled and passionate future agriculturists.

CONGRATS, INTERNS!

The Research Division, in collaboration with DARCES, successfully concluded the 10-day internship program for senior high school students from Emilio J. Estipona National High School.

Prior to receiving their certificates, the students presented their outputs, showcasing the knowledge they gained during the internship, as well as key takeaways from their experiences. Their training focused on livestock production and food processing projects, providing them with hands-on exposure to actual research and production activities.

The program offered the students valuable practical experience and a deeper understanding of agriculture and research. The Research Division and DARCES commend the interns for their active participation and dedication throughout the program.

WELCOME, OJTs!

DARCES warmly welcomes the On-the-Job Trainees who officially started their training today, comprising 55 students from Kolehiyo ng Pantukan and 10 students from Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc.

The trainees will undergo a rotational training program and will be exposed to various station projects and activities, including crop production, corn and cassava production, orchard and scion grove maintenance, mushroom production, nursery and greenhouse operations, livestock and poultry, organic agriculture production such as fertilizer and composting, vegetable and soybean production, postharvest and value-adding activities, and research and extension support services. This system provides hands-on learning, broadens their technical knowledge, and equips them with practical skills and real-world experience in agriculture.

DARCES is glad to be part of their learning journey. Welcome, OJTs, and we wish you a productive and meaningful training experience ahead!
