Our team Together with the Barangay 5-A DRRMC Responder Conducted a Search Retrieval Operation in responses to Reported drowning incident Yesterday at around 4:50 PM.

Our responders immediately coordinated and searched the area together with volunteers and authorities. We are asking for prayers, cooperation, and support from the community during this operation.

To those living near the river or nearby areas, if you have any information or possible sighting of the victim, please report immediately to the authorities or call 911.

JUST IN DROWNING INCIDENT!!

Our BDRRMC Personnel Responded to an drowning incident around (4:50 PM) involving a 10 year-old female location at Prk 17-A Sto niño de Suba lower madapo brgy 5-A Bankerohan Davao city. Child was reported in Barangay 5-A after the child allegedly went swimming in a creek. Rescue operations and monitoring are currently ongoing with the help of responders and concerned residents.

To all residents living near rivers, creeks, and nearby coastal areas, if ever the victim is seen or found, please immediately report to 911 or coordinate with barangay authorities and emergency responders for immediate action.

We also remind everyone to remain alert and keep children away from dangerous waterways to avoid similar incidents.

Light to moderate rains are being experienced in some areas of Toril District.

Other areas of Davao City is experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rain, mostly drizzling.

Residents near riverbanks and low-lying areas are advised to stay alert and monitor official updates.

Due to the weather disturbance brought by the Trough of LPA, the 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑 channel along Brgy. Tamugan monitored at 𝐂𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 (alert level) approaching 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 (warning level).

With these, BDRRMCs along Davao river channels are advised to pre-positioned resources, alert the communities, conduct 𝐑𝐄𝐊𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀, closely monitor their areas of responsibility (AOR) especially flood and landslide-prone areas, prepare evacuation areas, and provide feedback to CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base for any changes in the situation.

Meanwhile, the PUBLIC is reminded to be vigilant and address the situation accordingly.
