READ ME || About ₱99K Worth of Illegal Drugs Seized at Sirawan Entry Point

DAVAO CITY – At around 1:23 PM yesterday, August 23, 2025, a suspect was apprehended at the Sirawan Entry Point in a joint checkpoint operation conducted by elements of Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspect was identified as alias “Al,” a 31-year-old single driver and a resident of Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. He was intercepted while on board a white Suzuki mini van bearing plate number JAL 1591, reportedly traveling from Zamboanga City toward Davao City.

Seized from his possession was one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 14.47 grams with an estimated street value of Ninety-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Six Pesos (₱98,396.00).

With this successful operation, Colonel Rodrigo A. Mariñas Jr., Commander of Task Force Davao, commended the relentless efforts of both TFD and DCPO personnel for their strict and thorough screening of individuals and vehicles entering the city.

The suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, has been turned over to Toril Police Station 8 (PS8) for proper disposition.

JUST IN || Another Illegal Drug Apprehension at Lasang Entry Point

DAVAO CITY – At around 7:40 PM this evening, August 16, 2025, another suspect was apprehended at the Lasang Entry Point during a joint checkpoint operation conducted by elements of Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Ernesto,” is a 37-year-old male, single, employed as a construction helper, and a resident of Agol Compound, Brgy. Cabantian, Davao City. He was intercepted while on board a public utility bus reportedly traveling toward Davao City.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession was one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be "shabu," weighing approximately 0.42 grams, with an estimated street value of Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Six Pesos (Php 2,856.00).

The suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, has been turned over to Bunawan Police Station 6 (PS6) for proper disposition.

JUST IN || Over ₱60K Worth of Illegal Drugs Seized at Lasang Entry Point

DAVAO CITY – Just this afternoon of August 16, 2025, at around 1:35 PM, a suspect was apprehended at the Lasang Entry Point in a joint checkpoint operation conducted by elements of Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The apprehended suspect, identified only by the alias “Brail,” is a 19 years old, single male, employed as a call center agent, and a resident of Purok 17, Promiseland, Brgy Bunawan, Davao City. He was onboard on a White TVS Tricab bearing plate number 608LXB, reportedly traveling towards the City.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession was one (1) big plastic bag containing dried leaves believed to be "Ma*****na", weighing approximately 505 grams, with an estimated street value of Sixty Thousand Six Hundred Pesos (Php60,600.00).

Following the successful operation, Colonel Rodrigo A. Mariñas Jr., Commander of Task Force Davao, commended the relentless efforts of TFD and DCPO personnel for their continued vigilance and thorough screening of individuals and vehicles at the city’s entry points.

The suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, has been turned over to Bunawan Police Station 6 (PS6) for proper disposition.
