As the celebration of the All-Women in Sports Awards 2026 concluded, PSC Commissioner B**g Coo reminds us that the true impact of our athletes goes far beyond the podium. It is about the doors they open and the dreams they ignite for the next generation of Filipinas:

"The story of the Filipina in sport is a story of strength. Not only in victory, but in discipline, in sacrifice, and in purpose.

In every performance, in every decision, you carry something greater than yourselves. You carry the future of women in sport."

Woven with gratitude for our trailblazers and a steadfast commitment to the legends of tomorrow โ€” Mabuhay ang Atletang Pilipina! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Vibrance, dynamism, and devotion characterize Cebu โ€“ traits vital for a city poised to become a global sports hub.

It has already produced its own share of greatness as exemplified by nine-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, two-time Olympian Elreen Ando Oly, womenโ€™s marathon national record-holder Artjoy Torregosa, former WBC welterweight champ Mark Magsayo, and the Caรฑete family who helped globalize Arnis โ€“ the Philippine national sport.

But for the Queen City, the journey never ends. True greatness lies in lifting new generations of grassroots athletes. Cebu is set to be a training hub and a continuous beating heart for Arnis, DanceSport, and Gymnastics, while investing in world-class facilities in pursuit of hosting high-profile tournaments and the Asian Beach Games on 2028

Cebu is always bound for history. With its vibrant spirit and collective drive, the city rises to claim its place among the worldโ€™s premier sporting destinations.

About PSC Mindanao

To bring sports closer to Mindanao for a healthier and more vibrant South, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), headed by Chairman William I. Ramirez, opened its Mindanao Satellite Office last March 15, 2019 with Eduardo R. Fernandez as the Cluster Head of PSC Mindanao.

The PSCโ€™s brand new Mindanao office is located at the Davao Association of Catholic School Inc. (DACS) Compound, corner Aguho and Champaca Streets, Juna Subdivision, Matina, Davao City.

The office was blessed by Fr. Joel Caasi, parish priest of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Talomo, Davao City. Caasi blessed the PSC Mindanao Office and its personnel, with a wish that PSC Mindanao will provide the island with sporting events to unite Mindanao and promote sports as a vehicle for peace.

Inspired by President Rodrigo Duterteโ€™s mandate to Chairman William Ramirez to bring sports to every corner of Mindanao, PSC Mindanao today brings together Mindanaoans through sports.
