FSO Davao Brings Services Closer Through β€œLakbay Serbisyo sa Bagong Pilipinas”

The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office – Field Service Office (FSO) Davao successfully conducted the Lakbay Serbisyo sa Bagong Pilipinas last 07 February 2026 at Dawis Heritage Wharf, Digos City, Davao del Sur, delivering essential services directly to veterans, pensioners, and their dependents. The outreach aimed to make government services more accessible while strengthening engagement with our clients, partners, and Local Government Unit.

The activity primarily catered to pensioners due for validation and updating, allowing them to conveniently comply with requirements without the burden of traveling to Davao. Assistance was likewise provided on non-pension benefit applications and various PVAO-related concerns, ensuring that pensioners and veterans received proper guidance and updates.

A key component of the outreach was the information dissemination sessions conducted in partnership with the City Government of Digos, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and the Digos City Health Office focusing on the Yaman at Kalusugan Program (YAKAP). These sessions provided veterans, pensioners, and their families with valuable updates on healthcare benefits, enrollment options, and available local health services. Participants were highly engaged, raising questions and actively taking part in discussions that enhanced their understanding of accessible programs.

The strong logistical and operational support of the City Government of Digos and Veterans Federation of the Philippines - Davao del Sur District greatly contributed to the smooth implementation of the outreach. Their proactive coordination helped create a welcoming and organized environment, particularly beneficial to elderly and mobility-challenged pensioners. Many beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the convenience and accessibility of the on-site services.

Through Lakbay Serbisyo sa Bagong Pilipinas, FSO Davao reaffirmed its commitment to delivering responsive public service by bringing essential government services closer to the veterans, pensioners, and dependents.
